I cannot understand people who did not like this game or say its the worst of the series. Its flawless, the story is great and no gameplay? it has everything the others had and more stuff! Also people who skip cutscenes on their first play through are philistines and don't deserve to own a console or should stick to playing wii sports all day. Whenever I got a visitor and they skip cutscenes i feel like taking the controller away from them.
if no one knows, when your online on this game, if you work together you can do more things. if you go to a high ledge you cant reach, hold triangle i think and a buddy can use your hand to climb on up then pull you up himself to get to a better vantage point or to sneak behind enemy lines easier.

The Big Boss camo has no skin because it's meant to be Big Boss' corpse (He was assumed dead for a large portion of time) but it is in fact Solidus Snakes face/corpse (You can tell because they have opposite eyes missing to eachother, Solidus has left and Big Boss has right)
Theres only ONE part I din't like about MGS4 the UBER UBER long Cutscense in Act two Sure they where good the first time but when you play the game over they get kinnda combersome.
the only think i dont like about this game is that it ENDS i wish they would continue with solid snake (yes i know peace walker is coming out but it just wont be the same since its going to be on 360 not to hate on ya guys but the blu ray disc is what makes this game legit since they can make it really really big like in mgs 4) but if they continued with solid snake it would become stupid and i timed how long the last cut scene were after the fight and it was a good hour and a bit

Was it Just me that got a little sad that MGS had come to an end. Growing up playing MGS1 on the PS1 and becoming immense at it during the 90's to playing MGS4 on PS3 knowing that in all probability that thats it. I still say MGS1 was the best.
MGS4 is still good. But only the first 3 acts. MGS3 is my favorite but the first 3 acts of MGS4 top MGS3 it's just a shame the whole rest of the game was all action. (Robots aren't fun to sneak around and act 5 was impossible stealth)
all acts were good and bad in their own way. Act 1 was good but had no boss fight. Act 2 was badass...act 3 was a little lame because u had to follow tat one guy and act 4 was the best act of all. Act 5 was a little too short although the final boss fight was awesome. Best fist fight in all vid games.

get the limited edition it comes with the blue ray sound track and a behind the scenes look at a lot of things its perfect for the true fans plus its only like 30 bucks :D and if mine ever broke or got lost etc, i would pay 100 bucks for it haha :D

You know what I don't get? Snake "had to kill himself" because of the FOXDIE virus, but the American government has had an antidote for it since before Shadow Moses. Explain that.
Liquid only thought there was an antidote, but Naomi confirmed there was no possible way to extract the virus from Snake at all. At first the virus was mutating inside snake but Drebin injected him with a "Fresh batch" of Fox die so that the mutated version of it would kill snake or anyone else for that matter.
I only played a little so far, but so far....This game has made big mistakes. Its no longer a stealth game which is what was great about mgs. ITs another action shooter!! They changed the radar now so its sucks, and they give u a million gun options. Its like they threw this whole crap load of guns at you , its overwhelming. I hope it gets better, but man why would u mess with perfection. ie the radar engine? I think SnakeEater was the best to date.
its still can be a stealth game, but i know what you mean. it does feel like a run through level shooter games. i had hoped it would be like snake eater. its still a great game but i wish it could have had more of a stealthy feeling like the other ones did

the fist hour i got this game i was so dissapointed, and not just the story gameplay that i was dissapointed but whats with the dirty commercials in the beggining of the game. so i returned it.
By the way i still never beaten the game or played it for about 2 months now....i love it soo much and knowing that me personally is not a gamer, i play this for HOURS man, HOURS!! I play games (any games) for about 1 to 2 hours. MGS4 keeps me playing for more than 10 hours...

yea i played it as a stealth game but when i bought it (release date) my first play through was on big boss hard well quick to say it was HARD! my final play through was 19 hours and alot of deaths but i played like non stop hahahaha.. then after a few go throughs on solid normal i did The Boss Extreme under 5 hours and got the big boss Emblem and the Mask its so sweet and i have stealth to

yea i like the expansions playing as raiden and vamp kick ass as well as others the stealth in this game is cool except Gekkos can still see you. but its all good the thing i find "Difficult" is the lack of chaff gernades never thought id need them as much as i do
i remember how chaff crazy i was, hording all 18 of them and at the place after you beat raven with cameras all over the wall i would run around in circles laughing manically until i ran out of chaffs and died.

Although IGN and most people are criticizing the Cut Scenes. They are fucking awesome. They may be a bit long at times, but you don't even notice. Hands down one of the best games I've played/ I have the game. It's fucking amazing. It's simply a master piece. all the customization on the weapons and stuff, music, graphics, gameplay, voice acting, sound, etc. It's just perfect. People I didn't even play the Metal Gears all I did was read about the story before and even I'm enjoying it. :P

dude im sorry you wont enjoy this game unless u are a MGS fan i love when my friends pick up this game cuz i like showing people the story but unless u played all of them u will never get this game MGS just isnt for everyone and not intended for the immature audience this story tells you about the threat of Nuclear warfare i think they shouldve kept the japanese controls and should not have had ryan payton as the lead game dev

you mean when the circle button was accept, and the x button was decline? i miss those days. oh well. call me old fashion but i still play it as a stealth game, and on my first play through i played it on solid normal, now i am on big boss hard, man! the enemies can see through walls! i haven't gotten the chance to play MGO2, i guess i will go through that long tedious process to sign up. oh well, i like this game, reminds me of all the old games, (ah!)

yea i played it as a stealth game but when i bought it (release date) my first play through was on big boss hard well quick to say it was HARD! my final play through was 19 hours and alot of deaths but i played like non stop hahahaha.. then after a few go throughs on solid normal i did The Boss Extreme under 5 hours and got the big boss Emblem and the Mask its so sweet and i have stealth to

how is stealth? never felt like getting it in this game, head it was awesome though. it is funny how much the stealth camo has improved, i remember in MGS1 how it used to be green! i am going for the bandana and mask. oh and one quick question? is it worth buying any of the scene expansions?

yea i like the expansions playing as raiden and vamp kick ass as well as others the stealth in this game is cool except Gekkos can still see you. but its all good the thing i find "Difficult" is the lack of chaff gernades never thought id need them as much as i do

i remember how chaff crazy i was, hording all 18 of them and at the place after you beat raven with cameras all over the wall i would run around in circles laughing manically until i ran out of chaffs and died.

duh.. another ps3 hater who havent even played the game. there are no annoying environments. And the only bad thing anyone can say about the game is the length of cutscenes. What the fuck do you mean by etc. etc. anyway? I cant think of ANYTHING else bad :P so obvious you havent played it

Although IGN and most people are criticizing the Cut Scenes. They are fucking awesome. They may be a bit long at times, but you don't even notice. Hands down one of the best games I've played/ I have the game. It's fucking amazing. It's simply a master piece. all the customization on the weapons and stuff, music, graphics, gameplay, voice acting, sound, etc. It's just perfect. People I didn't even play the Metal Gears all I did was read about the story before and even I'm enjoying it. :P

you are right altough a lot of people say that this is just a big effing movie, this game has created the best cutscenes ever made the best story, this game just put together all the pieces of the puzzle, it is actually on my top 5 games incluiding the other metal gear lol, but omg i just loved it it is a freaking masterpiece

hideo left and the series died. 360 fans your only getting the left over. This is no longer mgs because its not being made by hideo anymore and that its running on your system even thought multi platform so espect a pure letdown.

personally i hate the mgs series far as the gameplay. thats why its not everyones favourite. yes, the environment and graphics are great not to mentioin the weps too. It just the stealth part of it and how you have to be so sneaky all the time. If u get seen ur dead , buy im not good witht this kinda stufff so jst my opionion. i got mgs 3 about 4 mnths ago, i couldnt get past like the second chapter and the gameplay was slugish not paced enough too much being stealth although thats the game.

i have played halo 3 and gears and i was a huge xbox fanboy when i got my first halo bundled with xbox 1 but last summer when i saw that mgs4 bundle i had to grab it the box design made me want to grab it as well and once i opened it and bought myself hdmi from ebay and first time playing mgs game and my first playstation console ever i must say that mgs4 is just jaw dropping and the ps3 is highly given alot of doubts that it shouldn't be given this system and bundle is the best and mgs pwns !!!

This game is probably THE best game in the world, Snake is the ultimate character u could ever play but the voice acting has got worse over the years at times. I BEG konami an kojima to stop talkin about ending the series!!! WTF? And NO i dnt wna play as fucking raiden he is fucking lame mate. They best be making many more as far as im concerned.

Dude Gears of War doesn't even come CLOSE to this level of videogaming. This game is PERFECT.
Metal gear has been here since the NES and has been dominating over a decade, so take your Gears of war, and your halo, and shove 'em good.
Because they're just another lame FPS, and another gory action game with no depth and to much focus on online.
