  • worst song in my life i think because just look at the face

  • i wonder how many people in the early sixties had sex to this song

  • @chris8timmy 2, 742. For 98% of them, it was an accident.

  • it's rock "n" roll music

  • written by the late and great Gene pitney

  • @Palandy33 Really? I didn't know that, that's awesome.

  • i keep bouncing back to this music. thank you

  • @Komet67 - you're very welcome!

  • this actually sucks

  • @giiiibby heathen

  • i am 13 and this is better than techno crap

  • wicked BOUNCY BOUNCY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Brings back fond memories of roller skating rings in the 60's!

  • So, so nice!!!

  • i love 1950s music and im 38 the music was better in the 50s ,60s,70s,80s,but went down hill after the mid 0s

  • Vocal (and song) is a quick and cheap rip-off of Buddy Holly

  • Love this very much. Its the sort of music that when you first hear it one wants to hear more. This is beautiful. The lyrics are very meaningful. The backing vocals are hauntingly beautiful.

  • i am sixteen and i say that that this music is a lot better than what we get today

  • Love it .. thank you, If it was,nt for clever people like you uploading music , we would be lost.

  • @imlikearubberball - you're welcome!

  • Heard this for the first time today. Love it

  • Written by the late great Gene Pitney.....RIP Gene

  • I don't know who 'Nicole Scherzinger " in the compulsory ad at the beginning is but I use YouTube to escape that kind of caterwauling. Whoever is placing these ads doesn't really get it. How many of the people who view a Bobby Vee video are going to rush out and secure a copy of Nicole's intolerable, mind-mincing cacophony?

I think that HMV would be mystified by the influx of cardigans and sensible shoes browsing the hip-hop section.

  • @herringfly the commercial is the shits!!!!

  • i love this song:)

  • ive known this on piano for years without having heard the original?? wth!! Bobby Vee is great!

  • Thank you so very much for posting it and for the lyrics as well! Great job and wonderful song choice!!! :)

  • Ive got this on 45rpm recor d & as a kid I loved it me born 1960 can remember wobling around the radiogram loadsof xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx fab

  • Rick Astley's old man.

  • my 2 yr old loves this song!!!!! keeps her entertained for hours just dancing to it!!!!

  • if i was a girl i would think this song is cute, if I was a guy i would think...wait, did i just say if i was a guy?

  • thanks so much

  • @aroszypooh- you're very welcome!

  • This song has so much meaning to my life right now. I don't want to be bounced back to, and if the other half stretches your love so much that its so thin enough to tear you shouldn't put your arms back around them. The woman vocals are trying to convince him that she is calling you by some other guys name, but he thinks that he needs to bounce back because he is just a rubber ball and that is all he knows how to do. DON'T GO BACK TO HER BOBBY V!!!!

  • Many Memories From This Song (aa)

  • I just discovered Bobby not that long ago, curse my young age! However, I simply adore this song and all others of his I have heard. Take Good Care Of My Baby is definitely my favourite though.

  • Thanks for the post.

  • @Thearl- you're very welcome!

  • This is the definitive Bobby Vee.

  • Bobby Vee is my fellow 4/30 baby - we were both born on April 30.

  • um, just a BIT like Buddy Holly......

  • @InSenseAround

    ... thats TexMex - Style (i've been told) ....

  • @InSenseAround Who wouldn't want to sound like Buddy

  • @PrimalStones I wouldn't wanna sound exactly like him.

  • @InSenseAround Well, yeah. He was meant to. He was brought in to cover BH's tour dates after he died because of their similar styles and the influence BH had had over his music.

  • @pmoyer50 I hate Bob Zimmerman. He was a liar and a rip off, so it seems natural that he would assume someone else's identity too. What does this song have to do with him anyway?

  • Comment removed

  • @pmoyer50 Whatever bro. Go out on tangents much?

  • @frankothemountain : All the time. Tangerine tangents art tart. And the song Rubber Ball is a great golden oldie from my youth.

  • Robert Veline, Fargo, ND, got his big break the Day the Music Died. Buddy Holly was supposed to play in Moorhead, MN, but as most know, he never made it. Fargo radio stations put out a call for all musicians to help fill in for Buddy, Big Bopper, Richie Valens. Bobby Vee was there and the rest, as they say, is history.

  • Too bad i dont have Fond memories that are flooding back, i was born on 98' :(

  • if buddy holly could have lived he could have done this song

  • Saw him and the Strangers live in the fifties. He was to be the new Buddy Holly after Holly's untimely death. I remember the band all wore boat-neck collar shirts, and were awesome to watch.

  • This song was 50 years ago no.7 in the world charts #bobby #vee

  • This song gets stick in my head everyday at work it always comes on the solid gold oldies station

  • This song was 50 years ago no.9 in the world charts #bobby #vee

  • Which two blasphemers do not like this????

  • I remember this song playing in the morning as I was getting ready to go to school,my father would be leaving for work as I was sitting down for breakfast,he would tussle my hair and say something like (very heavy Irish brogue)All right darlin' it's cold out, dress warm. Then kiss my mom goodbye... It was so nice

  • Bobby Vee's version was the bigger of the two, but Marty Wilde ("Abergavenny", and also the father of Kim Wilde) also had a top 10 hit in the UK with this song.

  • Thanks for keeping the memories alive. It's a shame it will never be like this again, but everything changes.

  • @mhelstein- you are very welcome! Ron

  • @mhelstein and not always for the better, which is why I like the music from the mid 1950s to early 1960s. A reminder of a sweet time in my life that is worth keeping in my memories! I was born in 1950!

  • @Vampyren91 tvärtom
