  • I have a fear of awkwardness... Which I'd say is pretty unfortunate considering that I'm a generally awkward person.

  • I'm scared of the unknown. So I have NO idea how you would help me with that one.

  • I'm afraid of Zombies eating my brain... but that's what makes them soo much fun...

  • This video can have snow!

  • "OMG, it's like the end of Breaking Dawn" LOL!

  • Fear of clowns for me and things under the bed o.o.

  • I bet just about anyone can get over doll phobia of they go to the AGP ;)

  • I'm okay with like....teddy bears and stuff. But it's the HUMANIOD dolls that freak me out! A REALLY baby babysitter who made me watch Chucky ruined dolls for me. -_-

  • this reminds me of an old science fiction radio theatre episode where aliens planted these dolls in people's houses that came alive and murdered people. her fear is not ungrounded imo

  • I have an irrational fair of ferris wheels....

  • "oh my god it's like the end of breaking dawn." I love you, MJ [like they do in twilight].

  • Omg, when my roommate and I went to Chicago, I TOTALLY made her go in there with me. This is what I used to dream about when I was, like, 10. Going to the American Girl Store was all I wanted in the whole world, haha!

  • ... i have a fear agglomerated things

0:35 while that wasn't scary, it did come close to reminding me....

  • I have been afraid of dolls, mannequins, statues, puppets, clowns, my entire life. I was 3 & at my stepdad's work Christmas party & Santa gave me a doll. I cried hysterically & gave it back to Santa. I still have issues with dolls as an adult. I'm starting a new job & a woman in my office makes fundraising dolls...guess who gets to sit next to a bunch of them everyday? Try being 32, at work & explaining an irrational fear.

  • i HAVE A FEAR OF MASCOTS. when i was little i had anight mare in which someone killed the person who owre a mascot suit and dressed up in it with a gun hidden in his furry paw and killed me.

  • I like your hat MJ

  • I think I love Libba now XD

  • I can't stand dusty or worn out dolls, the old fashioned type, or those fuckin creepy faceless wooden mannequins. They freak me the fuck out.

  • I love the Dawn of the Dead music that starts playing at 2:31. I also have Pediophobia. It's not as bad as this lady's but I wouldn't want to be left in a room with one.

  • @LukeMM95 a room full of glass dolls during a storm the lights go out and you hear something thats my hell and i lived through still scared though

  • i have it i hate them all, mostly the old fashioned ventriloquist dolls, not like jeff dunhams...the black tux red lips...so on.... this video creep ed me out...

  • I have pediophobia, except I'm only scared of porcelain dolls ( the old dolls with their scary as fancy dresses ), not scared of barbie, cabage patch dolls, teddy bears etc. and it's only at night too, i would probably kill myself if i get locked in a room with one even if it's facing the wall!

  • 1:43

    that's 14$ of pure EVIL

  • I have pavophobia :(

  • I think I just wet m'self.

    That shit is horrifying.

  • I have pediophobia myself and I'm 19. When I was a kid, I grew up watching horror movies about dolls coming to life and never grew out of it. It's not something to take so lightly. To be honest this is the scariest shit I've seen on Youtube, especially with that first picture.

  • HAHAHAHA. Libba, you are awesome. :)

  • Of all the things to be afraid of, why dolls? How does that happen?

  • @hawanja The same way any fear comes about. Mine personally came from being tortured with a doll as a child. Some people just have it forever, and some just wake up afraid one day. People are afraid of mustard and llamas too.

  • 3:04 Ew, what the HELL is Felicity wearing?

Seriously, that's all I could think of when I saw this video for the first time. It's a bit tickling to know that a favorite author is terrified of the very thing I've always liked. She should just be glad she didn't go to an Ashton Drake baby doll shop- those are creepy as HELL!

  • Ms Bray, as a bookseller who sees your name ALL the time, this has made my day. You were sort of just a name to me before, but now I'll always think of this when I shelve/sell/come across your stuff. Also, if I ever meet you, I'm bringing my American Girl. BUAHAHAHA.

  • I seriously want that to be her author photo. I mean, who wouldn't read a book with that picture on the back?

  • i love dolls and i have 11 of them but one night i put on on my cumputer chair and when i got home she was tuked under the covers of my bed

  • AWWWWWW I FEEL SO BAD 4 HER BUT AT THE SAME TIME IT SHOULD BE A FEAR TO OVER COME EASILY

  • @camipame Seriously? Its a phobia. She isn't a child, meaning it is a well developed phobia. If you think this is an easy fear to overcome, then you have some mental problems. What are you afraid of? Now over come it. Not so easy, huh?

  • Comment removed

  • Those dolls are terrifying. D: I can just see them moving in the middle of the night...and watching you as you sleep. T^T

  • Dolls are okay, its just the full sized mannequins with broken fingers, nude bodies and painted hair that looks more man than lady that get me.

  • It was going to be awkward walking out of the stall regardless, because one of you would have been holding a video camera...

  • join us!!!! :D

  • do u think she would have a heart attack if she saw child's play or dead silence?

  • "Just put your hand on the glass, there you go...oh my God, one's moving!"

    xD so cruel.

  • I have a fear of stupid people!! Please HELP ME!!!! They're EVERYWHERE!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!

  • This is exactly why I will never undergo therapy. Even if diagnosed with OCD I will NEVER go to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because they will find out with their therapist magic that I am afraid of spiders and they will decide that the only way for me to get better is to french a tarantula or something. That's totally how it works.

God I hope I never develop any sort of mental disorder.

Did you know tarantulas make noise? A weird, clicking noise. Like a Predator.

  • my sister has a doll house filled with these things !!!!! its so frightening

  • I have a fear of puppets...

  • LOL!!! OMG this is soo funny. I just went to the American Girl Doll Chicago with my daughter!

  • Roller coasters. That's the big one.

  • "I don't think we should hide our love" Brilliant!

  • I am TERRIFIED of dolls... And anything human looking... mannequins....

  • it looked like they were moving at first

  • I have to admit, a couple minutes into the video, I started to get a little creeped out by all those dolls.

  • I have pediophobia :( its not just dolls its mannequins too...theyre out to get me, isweaarr! Dx

  • I'm scared of horses... I'm going to try to get over my fear of them in Arizona this spring break, but any advice would be great!

  • Lol! I love how, when libba says "don't look it in the eyes, that's how it gets you", the blonde girl behind her looks away from the dolls, turns around, and covers her eyes a bit.

  • never hide your love , great advice !

    the bathroom scene was fun

  • Oh my god, this video is awesome! Thanks for sharing. We all have fears, Libba. I'm afraid when I go through a tunnel and my radio goes to static.

  • I have a phobia of touching fish. Not of fish, but of touching them or swimming with them.

  • i have a fear of windows at night, i no weird, im scared that a face is gonna pop up in the window, the really said thing is that there is atleast one window on every wall in my house and there is a huge picture window in the living room

    btw go NERDFIGHTERS!

  • lol I personally love AG but this video was hilarious!

  • At least it's not pediophilia, that would be awkward.

  • i swear libba -her personality-its like mine

and her friend is totally awsome! i hope i can make a friend as cool and funny as hers!

  • I have had pedophobia ever since my 2nd grade teacher told a story about a porcelain doll named molly who killed the whole family after the little girl broke her. I have never been the same.

I have a major puke-my-guts-out fear of heights and i think it deserves a visit from libba and maureen to purge me of it.

  • I have another fear the likes of which is fucking laughable. I have the fear of Chuck E. Cheese. I know stupid as hell but true. I went to a nephew's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese and when the person in a Chuck E. Cheese suit came out I Put on my hood, turned away, and began to crie like a little baby.

  • when she fucking turned that doll i just about lost it I HATE Dolls. God I went to a friend's house one night to to stay over and I had a feeling I was being watched and I looked up and two out of four of her walls were lined at the top with fucking porcelian dolls all of which were staring at meO.O''

  • "Oh my God, it's like the end of Breaking Dawn."

I bought that book the night it came out. I was at a release party. I couldn't finish it. Twilight and New Moon i can stand. Breaking Dawn is literary DEATH.

  • she watches to much chikie

  • I am love horror movies i dont mind blood or any gorie ones but when it comes down to ghosts of little girls I am sooooo freeked out...

  • I have an irrational fear of licking paper.... O_O

  • I have an irrational fear of NOT licking paper.

  • wut is the name of the song in the beginning

  • We Are Your Friends by Justice. It's a great song :)

  • I have pediophobia too, I saw one doll on this video and almost started panicking. Holy shit.

  • There a lot of freak comments here...but I liked this video.

I love Libba's work. She can write about another world, but can't face her fear of dolls. This made me laugh out loud. :D

  • my biggest and greatest fear: joining the track team. I know, I know, how lame, but I just can't do it. Just going to one callout meeting made me nearly vomit out of nervousness. It's not like I've never tried to help myself, you know. I even got MTV's MADE to come to my school and help me (but after two days of taping, they told me that my goal was impossible to accomplish in only six weeks. I was devastated, to say the least). I found this vid through LB's LJ. me = parvati564. Look me up.

  • I completely understand fears like this. I for one am terrified of people in mascot costumes. I once attended AnthroCon (a furry convention... I know, I know) in order to get over it. Yeah, didn't help.

  • idiots, pediophobia means fear of kids

  • fear of dolls, GENIUS

  • I wasn't telling you bitch

  • Hey genious, it means fear of dolls too.

  • Get a life

  • I guess you could call it "help", if you need help with your mental problems

  • mental problems?

  • Come on, I love American Girl dolls. My friend and I actually used Felicity and Elizabeth to reenact the Gemma Doyle Trilogy.

    ...We're normal. Yup.

  • img i have pedophobia ever since my mom brought me a doll and my brothers kept tormenting me with it 0_o needles to say the doll is gone now

  • one time while i was taking a shower my brothers decided it would be a good idea to hang a doll on a hanger in my closet...so i get out of the shower open my closet SCREAM like i'm being murdered and run into the living room onto my moms lap!! i was like 15 when this happened i'm 18 now and still scared of dolls

  • i cant be in a room by myself with them but if i'm with other people i'm okay but still really paranoid!

  • i have pediophobia literally if u don't belieive me then u don;t have to but i do and i am 11 they scare the crap out of me

  • 4:20 "It's like the end of breaking dawn" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

"I don't think we should hide our love"

  • the doll at 03:06 is freaking scary! it looks like the ghost of a aristocrat who's head was chopped-off by the guillotine!

  • I think that picture of Libba forcing a smile with the doll should be the picture on the jacket of her books.

    Seriously.

  • LMAO!!! :) :)

  • "this is like the end of breaking dawn!" lllllollllll

  • I suffer from Acrophobia, which is one of the many names for "A fear of heights."

The dolls are kinda cute.....until they attack you in the night!0_0 Naaw, I collect dolls (not just dolls. But Living Dead Dolls0.0!!!) and love my collection.

  • i feeel her pain too, i hate baby dolls. all my friends think it is hilariouus, and it isn't at all.

watching this video makes me cringee.

  • I suffer from Pediophobia too. Along with Coulrophobia and Pupaphobia.

  • If I wasn't scared of dolls before... I am now.

OH yeah they would look dead normal coming out the toilet stall with a camera!:P

  • I have a HUGE fear of like unpuling/puling things in. i make my mom do it...

    ...

  • thats gross their like watching you!! lol

if i took my doll into the bathroom i would put it in a shoping bag!!!

  • they wann abe your dfriends....wah i will kill them if they give any of tehse dolls to me -.-

  • 'It's like the end of Breaking Dawn!'

    Lol.

  • "I CAN SEE YOU PEEING!!!" lolol

  • That was beyond amazing. There are no words for that. You guys are awesome.

  • Firstly, amazing.

Secondly, I agree with the bathrooms - it's slightly creepy that your doll can watch you pee. What if Libba is right, and they're real?!

Thirdly, I'm freaked out by rubber gloves. Actually.

  • Hahahaha!! That was wonderful! I had no idea the wonderful Libba Bray was affraid of dolls! But now.... I might be too!

That thing in the bathroom is insanely creepy! It's like some sort of midieval torture device...

  • ummm....are you allowed to take a video camera into a bathroom....at an american girl place...where that are lots of girls..... :S

  • I'm afraid of heights; could you help me? Seriously.

  • lolz... IM WATCHING YOU PEE!! I HAVE NO ORGANS OF MY OWN SO I LIKE TO SEE YOURS!!!

  • O_O Creepy.

The baby cheerleader bit was hilarious

  • I love how MJ says Biddy Baby Cheerleader!

  • The doll at 3:06 gives people a legitimate reason to be afraid of dolls.

  • My aunt ia afraid of dolls to. All because of a Twilight zone episode. Talking Tina

  • I love that episode "I'm Talking Tina and I'm going to kill you!"

  • I have a type pediophobia where if i see a doll staring at me it makes me freak out. but once i touch it im fine =p

  • Oh my gawd! Its like the end of breaking dawn!

    hahahahah!!!!

  • "I have no internal organs of my own...but I like to watch"

"I dont think we should hide our Love"

    <3

  • "I can see you pee.." I love this comment!!!

  • haha, the poor personal shopper lady....haha funny!

  • dolls are just...fuckin scary.

  • im really scared of dolls to

  • I have pediophobia too and I couldn't touch those dolls like she does. Go Libba! You are very brave and strong women!

  • Maureen, you remind me of my auntie. My really cool swedish autie that i love. :)

  • You go Libba!!!

    *Subscribes to Maureen*

"I don't think we should hide our love." XD

  • I have a fear of maureen johnson - maybe you could help me by visting me : )

  • Oh yes, yes, I have this fear too. She's really scary. :(

  • What a coincidence. I have that exact same fear! Maureen, you gotta come visit us all. :p

  • I have a faer of spiders and I live in the country!!

  • OOOOOHHH unlucky

  • Im scared of birds. o_O and they are hard to hide from. You don't find dolls lurking in trees!

  • Not that you can see anyway...

  • Haha I loved the end!! :D

  • This never fails to make me laugh.

I also love the way Maureen says 'biddy baby cheerleader'

  • its like the end of breaking dawn... HILARIOUS.

  • agreed.

  • I loved the American girl dolls when i was little! i had like 7 of them or something. So anyway, I'm afraid of heights... particularly falling from them (no really?! ha) So I think you two should go on tower of terror or drop zone or even sky dive, and film it. I think that would help me a lot.

  • I know! Tower of terror freaked me out. I cried. A three month old baby said his first word there. He said "YAY!"

  • you beat me! I was at least 9, but I refused to even go on the ride. i went up the real elevator and waited at the end for the rest of my family to finish.

    i'm such a wimp

    :)

  • I cried a little I was laughing so hard.

  • Haha xD You guys always make my day the opposite of a bad day... Which would have to be a terrifying day :D

  • The creepiest part was that they're all in glass cases and posed and everything. I hate when they're all stuck up on stands and behind glass. It's creepy. Just have them sitting on a table or in the boxes!!!

    This was amazing. XD

  • i'm afraid of dolls also lol

  • did the doll smell like evil? (or probably like thousands of sticky children's hands that touched it before)

  • "oh my god, one's moving!" LOL

  • When I was little, I used to think American Girl Dolls were evil. I would kill them in interesting ways before I would play with them.

  • that was very funny... And i'd just like to mention how much I LOVE the song we are your friends. It works so well with this video haha

  • lol is it even legal to take a video camera into a bathroom?

  • 3:34 The beast of American consumerism is RELENTLESS in its onslaught of attaching cupholders to things that do not need cupholders on them. It takes no victims. Only new beverage addicts.

  • Kudos for using a bit of the Dawn of the Dead soundtrack

  • Ok ... now dolls are starting to freak ME out ...

lol "I jhave no internal organs of my own, but I like to watch!"

  • fear of snakes I dare you

  • "I don't think we should hide our love" lol :)

  • Thank you Maureen for making the world a little bit stranger! Now let me just fedex you this Samara doll so you can hide it in Libba's closet.

  • I wish I could just hang out with you at some point cause I think that would be the FUNNEST TIME I would ever have!!!

  • *laughs loudly and crazily*

  • "Oh My God! It's like the end of Breaking Dawn!"

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA

  • Priceless. Haha, I should send Libba my "Gemma" doll XD.

  • Ugh ... dolls.

  • I have this phobia of being pointed at. It's seriously inconvenient.

  • So, so, supportive, MAureen... "Ah! Ohmygod, one's Moving!" HAhahhaha

  • Oh, you guys rule! You just made my day! Thanks MJ and Libba!

  • that doll holder in the bathroom stall reminds me of the interrogation chair in Harry Potter-- but for dolls. "ARE YOU A DEATH EATER, BITTY BABY CHEERLEADER?! CRUCIO!"

    <3 Maureen and Libba xD

  • what kind of place is that? they have a hairdresser's for dolls? and photographs? like a legoland for girls maybe?

  • Our house is American Girl central. My sister has three dolls and almost every accessory possible. So I know how you feel Libba. It is kind of scary when my sister's friends come over with their dolls and they are all in her room making the voices.

I've actually been to the Chicago American Girl store twice and we are going again this summer *shudder.* But, go Libba!! You are on your way to a full recovery!!

  • wow,you guy are completely hilarious,i seriously almost peed in my pants from laughter! "its like the end of breaking dawn" lmfao!

  • lmao, i have american girl dolls, well i dont play with them anymore

I have a phobia...its called pnigerophobia...yes i know that sounds really bad but its accually a fear of being choked or smothered

  • "I can see you pee!!!"

    You two are LEGENDS!! :)

  • So true.

  • "It's like the end of Breaking Dawn." LMAO!!! That was a good one!

  • best day of work EVER!

  • i'm scared of buoys. i'm serious. those innocent orange and white floating masses? they make me want to cower in dark corners. on occasion, i do.

  • Wow, I seriously just misread your comment as "I'm scared of boys"

...maybe it's some kind of projection of my own fears! =P

  • That is hilarious! The salesperson and photographers reactions are so funny! Congratulations on overcoming your fear Libba!
