I like the song. Except for the "I'm your Daddy" beat. I don't like how it sounds, it feels like Cuomo is... breaking bad? Is he trying to sound like Pitbull? I think it's totally out of place, it doesn't fit Weezer nor Cuomo himself... =/ But I like the song nonetheless.
@OutOfControlMusix Yeah, I know what you mean. I tried reading the lyrics to make sure I was understanding everything correctly, and it does make sense. It's just that... c'mon, look at Rivers! He's not the kind of guy you'd expect on a dancefloor staring at some hot chick and whispering in her ear: "Baby, I'm gonna be your daddy tonight", right? Funny though XD

"Beverly Hills" was when they completely became lost since they sounded like everything else at that time. Just saying, once your fans can't even recognize your music, you know something's gone horribly wrong. That doesn't count with new fanbases though. Had a big discussion with a person on that in the video version of this song. Read the posts to understand this.

I'm saying when it was released people hated it because they didn't understand it. the whole make believe album they really had not much to say because it was what the record company wanted. but if you listen to red album thats more of his feelings put into it just like the raditude he feels like he was on top of the world and loving life. sorry I'm a completely big weezer fan and probably know way too much!

And that's the thing now: Once you can't recognize your favorite band, they're lost underneath everything else. They have one or two gems in a cd, but then it doesn't feel right when you have to try to force yourself to believe it's them when it's a different sound. I can't even accept their cover of I'm A Believer.

@DillFace Usually a cover has a certain stamp that a band puts on it, sort of as a tribute to the original while keeping their unique spin on it. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but in this case I just didn't see it, only noticing it's in a different key. But that sounds about right about Make Believe. That was a horrible move. Only good song on that one was Perfect Situation.
Anyway, of course I'm a fan, but once they put out something that are themselves again, I'll be all for it.
