  • Wow! Reading through these comments is very telling of how many people do not know what Christians confess in our most ancient creeds.

Jesus is the Incarnation. He is God in flesh. Mn could not be like Him if He did not stoop down to our earth and become one of us.

Read the Church Fathers from the first four centuries.

You are not a christian if you don't believe this very fundamental doctrine. What do you think the Trinity is ?

  • @williamcanatsey wat do u mean by "man could not be like Him if he did not stoop down to our earth and become one of us?" ?? o.O

  • @deakayy In theology that is called divinization of man. The initiation is from God to share this relationship with man.

  • @wellasang oh...i see

  • I hope everyone enjoyed this.

  • The Glorious Unseen Hear Our Prayers

  • this is beautiful! great job!

  • in the old testament, the people sacrificed lambs to try and atone for their sin, but it was never enough, thats why we needed the sacrifice of jesus.

jesus was not merely human, he was perfect, god in the form of a man.

  • "to appease his rage" this isnt really the right way to put it. by sin we are separated from god, and the ultimate punishment is eventual death. god doesnt want to send people to hell.

"jesus demands the drinking of his blood" it is not his blood we are drinking, just wine (or juice) which is a symbol of jesus sacrifice and a way to remember what he did for us. the blood is like another reference to the lamb sacrifice.

  • im not sure where your getting the idea of god forbiding the punishment of peoples fathers.. but we arent being "condemned" for the actions of adam, it is because of our own rebellion.

if you have more questions please send me a message.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:11-12

  • This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ. Romans 3:22

  • "im not sure where your getting the idea of god forbiding the punishment of peoples fathers"

Just ask and I'll tell you.

"The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father,

neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son:

the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him,

and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him."

    Ezekiel 18:20

  • each person is a sinner. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

we inherited the sinful nature of our fathers, not necessarily the punishment but of course we all sin, and therefore all should recieve the punishment.

  • "we inherited the sinful nature of our fathers, not necessarily the punishment but of course we all sin, and therefore all should recieve the punishment."

That's a very different song than the one you were singing yesterday:

"im not sure where your getting the idea of god forbiding the punishment of peoples fathers"

But whatever scriptures I show you

    you simply dismiss.

Which is perfectly orthodox, of course.

  • well i hadnt read that verse before, so i wanted to clarify wat i meant.

i still think that inheriting a sinful nature is different from being punished for what our fathers have done

  • Re: "being punished for what our fathers have done"

God does, of course punish and approve of punishing for the actions of one's ancestors

(in spite of his prohibition against doing that very thing):

"Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers"

    Isaiah 14:21

" I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God,

punishing the children for the sin of the fathers

to the third and fourth generation?"

    Exodus 20:5

    He is such a hypocrite.

  • leahbleahb says

" it is not his blood we are drinking"

    Jesus said

    "this is my blood"

"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life...

For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink"

    Take your pick.

    "Thios is

  • it obviously wasnt his actual blood.

when someone says "look at that girl eating. she is a pig". they don't literally mean she is a pig, its just a way of emphasizing the way she eats.

in a similar way, we do not drink Jesus' actual blood everytime we do communion. it is a way of remembering what jesus did for us on the cross. by his blood we have been saved, therefore we have eternal life

  • "jesus was not merely human, he was perfect, god in the form of a man."

Some of the 38,000 denominations of christianity agree with you.

    Some do not.

I am not interested in the inter-religion controversies.

    God forbade human sacrifice,

    then god demanded human sacrifice.

  • please tell me which denomination of "christianity" believes Jesus was not God in the form of man???

that is kind of the whole point of christianity, that while we were all sinners God came down in human form to be a sacrifice for us so that we can have a relationship with him, and eternal life after we leave this world

  • Lots and lots of denominations see Jesus as God's SON,

    as God's ANOINTED ONE,

    as God's CHOSEN ONE, etc.

Don't wear your blinders too tightly.

  • but they all agree that Jesus is God in the form of man

  • "they all agree that Jesus is God in the form of man"

    Not by any means.

Anointed, chosen, son of, indwelt by...

these are very different from "God in the form of man."

    Very different.

  • the concept of being God's son, but also being the human form of God is difficult to explain...

but i have accepted that Jesus is God, in the form of a man and is therefore Gods son, because he is not God in the metaphysical sense.

He is not any person though, he is God's son.

sorry im not explaining this well... but i still dont think that any denomination of Christianity would think that Jesus is just any random person, and isn't God in the form of man.

  • @leahbleahb we are all God. God is love and when we come from love we are God. We tend to restrict God. Jesus is God. Try to think outside the "Box". God is bigger than any of us can imagine. Is there anything that is not God?

  • @zorrosdad i'm sorry mate but.... "we" are not "God" and neither are we "Gods"

  • @deakayy Go study this: John10:30-38 & Psalm82:6 :)

  • @perfettorado oh o.O seems like i have much to learn...

  • @deakayy :) May the Master Communicator find your heart receptive by the Holy spirit as you seek His truth & those concealed answers in His wriiten &spoken words through the spirit of God in Jesus name -amen #AllTheBest STAY BLESSED SON :)

  • AMEN:-) Jesus was the GodMan. Fully God and Fully man

  • REALLY nice!!!!
