Rahman here are my two cents. Mankind was blessed with freewill, which can create good or evil......and don't ever forget the devils of whom the purpose of their very existence is to cause the fall of man. This world is but a stepping stone. Man was created to live in paradise. (The story of Adam and Eve).
That said however, Paradise is a privelage not a right, thus all the evil in the world bound for hell. Everything will be accounted for, of that there is no doubt.
Interesting what Dr.Jeffery Lang said in this interview. But I did not hear any answer to his own searching question-- Why the so-called Merciful GOD creates corrupt ,cruel horrible people. What is the answer by QURAN ? Did he get any answer to this question?
Go to this [IslamAdra] Youtube channel and check the 2 lectures of brother Dr. Jeffery Lang in his Playlists, you will get your answer to this and much more. They are long lectures but worth every minute.
Salaam vaguejada, please follow my suggestion above, those are videos worth watching. Brother Eddy from TheDeenShow was still new to the art of interviewing, he is much better now. We all go through a learning curve when we start anything. May Allah reward him for all his hard work and always give him and all of us more knowledge in this deen.
Yes, he has a fascinating answer. It's in his video 'from Atheism to Belief' available on youtube. He says at the beginning of that video that he's talking about theodicy (the problem of evil in the world). It's a long video... watch for when he speaks of what his daughter said to him... that's the keystone of the answer... as I see it.
He created Iblis, who became Satan because he did not like that Allah said man would be his greatest creation. Satan decided he would make it his personal mission to ruin man.
Satan is the root cause for all of the tangible problems. For example, Dr.Lang's father was an alcoholic. Alcohol is forbidden in Islam as a tool of Satan.
Came down to Singapore few days ago and went for his talk. Same thing but God Bless Him. His story was an eye-opener for a new perspective towards Islam.
Let the interviewee answer for himself without the interviewers adding his opinions. Also, I think the questions should not lead interviewee e.g. the interviewer asked "How has Islam changed his life" when he should have asked "Has Islam changed his life? And if so, how?" We all know it has to have changed the interviewees life but it's more convincing if the interviewee says it has instead of the interviewer assuming it has.
Asalamu akaikum. I just wanted to express a concern. When it comes to asking people for their story, it's essencial to hear what they say rather than hearing what you want them to say... As an interviewer, be guinine in listening, and put away your judgement in order for the person to feel comfortable to share their experience.
I'm proud of you bro, eaven how small this may look its power can go in misterious ways,.....eaven a raindrop on the watersurface reaches al directions eaven long after it stops to excists...

If that helps at all.
