@xTristan1994 The LP Traditional is not chambered. It has the 9-hole weight relief all GIbson USA-made Les Pauls had since 1983, but those are not sound chambers; they're basically just air bubbles in the body. The post-2007 Standards and Studios are chambered.
The weight of the guitar also depends on the stock of wood they used. I've once compared an LP Supreme (which is chambered) with a Custom Shop '59 (which doesn't even have weight relief), and the '59 was lighter than the Supreme.
@AragornCF Thx man! But I own this exact guitar for 2 months now :D and it's rather heavy! Gibson Les Paul Traditional Goldtop for the win! Damn nice guitar!
@xTristan1994 I myself own a 2002 LP Standard Mahogany. It has a mahogany top and three non-covered Seymour SH-6 "Duncan Distortions" humbuckers - all stock. And I'm also pretty fond of it. ;-)
The way I see it, the Traditional is the closest you can get to an original '50s LP these days without going by the Custom Shop. The Standards are chambered now, and although that may have its charm, that's not a real Les Paul anymore, but rather an ES-335 in disguise. :p
@AragornCF You've got a standard with three humbuckers? What finish? How is the mahogany top? And yes, 50's and Traditional Les Paul's rule! If I'd buy a Les Paul Custom it would be the Silverburst or Vintage Sunburst. I'm not really digging the VOS line...
@xTristan1994 Yes, the LP Std Mahogany was a model that ran from late 2001 until mid 2003. It came with 3 Duncan SH-6 pickups without covers, and was only available with a '50s-style neck and Heritage Cherry (non-sunburst) finish.
As far as I know, it was the only Standard ever to have 3 pickups. The switch is wired to select middle & bridge in the middle position, and the mahogany top makes the attack a bit warmer, but the Duncans are very bright (ceramic magnets). It is very versatile. :-)
@AragornCF But... If I take care of my Traditional Goldtop, I'll never have a new favorite guitar! It's my favorite guitar, I like other Gibsons and some Fender's too, but this is the guitar I've always wanted.
Someone on Youtube who knows how beautiful a Les Paul sounds clean. Damn fine stuff !

Is this guitar really that light? That's rather light for a Les Paul isn't it? Is it chambered?
