  • soo, do you actually need a DMX controller with this? or can it just run in sound active/stand alone mode

  • @DjRyBiz Sorry for the delay. No, you do not need a DMX controller to run the light. It has built into it 2 pre-programmed automatic modes (random effects/patterns/colors), 1 for when the light is on the floor and 1 when the light is hung upside down from a truss; as well as 2 sound activated modes, 1 for the floor and 1 for the truss.

  • Hi! How can I program this with a DMX controller?

  • excelente marca excelente modelo, yo uso de esas aqui en aguascalientes mexico, para mi son las mejores

  • what is the difference in this and the 200?

  • The 200 has 10 extra degrees of pan, 14 channels as opposed to 13 on the 250, and weighs about 15 lbs. less. Also, the 200 has 9 colors + white with 7 gobos opposed to 7 colors + white and 5 gobos. They both use a 250 watt lamp. The beam angle is wider on the 250 than the200. I got all this from Chauvet website; I have never used the Q-spot 200 before though.

  • i like tha 200 better than!

  • is there a way to control those and just shine a color??

  • Yes, if you have a dmx controller you can program the movement, color and etc..;7 colors plus white; 21 degree beam angle.

  • Can you music sync it, how much do they cost??

  • They do have 2 beat activated modes; 1 when the unit is on the ground and 1 when the unit is hung upside down from a truss. You can find them on EBAY ranging anywhere from $500 to $900 depending on the condition of them.

  • Good work, nice attitude!

Missed a bit about the lamp itself though:

    Is it dmx controlled etc.

Also wanted a slow(er) rewiev on the different gobos (but that's me..)

The video mix and talk is absolutely top class :)

    Good luck

Regards Chris (musician, not dj yet) ;)

  • I agree with you; I was rushing myself to get the video cut and posted here and in the process left out a lot of info. Thank you for your honest opinion!
