  • I agree with your observations and I wish trans people were represented in the media. I can not think of one trans actor or presenter on TV and this needs to change. But I like to keep an eye on those making jokes about us so I do watch TV. Besides there is more than comedy on the telly, My transsexual summer how cool was that? Oh and if I got rid of my TV what would I plug my PS3 into? I need my Rock Band fix to pretend to be a Rock star from time to time you know. :) Alex

  • Same here. I always feel embarassed when ex. a comedian makes jokes about transpeople, but maybe we should look in the opposite direction. Any laugh can turn out to be positive, even though as information it´s not worth mention. And I beleive that people joking about us never hate us. Clarissa

  • Also, have you noticed that serious transgender roles in tv dramas or movies are always played by cisgender actors? And I know that's not always bad, but...

  • I'll always like Alan Partridge interviewing Daniella Forest, rare in comedy-bits featuring a transsexual woman in that, as usual for Alan, he comes off looking like a narrow-minded fool and Daniella walks away with her dignity intact.
