Had fun with this game but it wasn't as good as Red Alert 2. This one is a little too exaggerated. Ea tried to match RA2'S over the top style but shot too far. And then implemented too many "features" into the units. It wasn't a bad game, it was just too far from the formula that made RA2 work.
@AdzCobra the original swastika was a buddhist symbol for fortune and was known as that in the whole world until Hitler came and abused it for his criminal regieme
@ShaithMaster i thought that too, maybe to show the grace of the Soviets in RA3? Maybe to show the beuty of what they hope to be the world after they win the war in RA3? I do not know.
@torkolv97 Well I dont know how it is in USA but in most of Europe original symbol of USSR sickle and hammer is band just as swastika. Maybe that's why they had to improvise.
@RPRXR the hammer and sickle was never really looked down on in Europe? if anything it was feared because of the cold war which the americans were to blame for provoking the russians in all fairness but the only symbol to ever be looked down on was the swastika which again shouldnt be because it was never supposed to invoke hatred as it was a religeous symbol of something. but yeah in Europe hammer and sickle not bad, swastika bad.
I always pictured an elder Soviet Flak Trooper (promoted) listening to this, feeling the tender memories of friendships he had made and lost in the war, and calmly get up from his couch, grabbing his gun, opening the door to the street and finding a war scenario with Harbingers sending down destruction upon the Motherland as the original March kicks in.
when i listen to this i always imagine Premier Cherdenko sitting on a chair at a small table drinking tea, then it zooms out to show he's actually in a kirov that's one of thousands as the music fades into the proper soviet march
"Hello Allied ladies. Look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now BACK to me. Sadly, he isn't me. But if he stops drinking coffee when owning his foes and switch to tea, he could be awesome like me. What am I holding? It's an oyster with 50 megaton bombs for that city you love. Look again, the cities are now debris. Anything is possible when your man is awesome like me. I'm on a Kirov. (Soviet March plays)
I imagine a Soviet field commander listening to this on his record player in his command tent and his troops dug in holding a line against advancing Germans.
LOL when I first heard this soundtrack, it just made me walk a lot faster. :P LOL I remember doing something, and I did it 4X fasted because of this feeling of old films.

lets say RA3 have great units whatever the faction you choose, I enjoy a lot of them actually
my units of choice would be apoc tanks in NUMBERS!!, tasha, Soviet engineers (slow but useful, they're some really tough bastards IMHO), the bears and doggies for the show hehe, tesla tanks (if only we could build them...) and lot of the 2 Allied bombers, generally with that I have enough firepower to completely disintegrate the opposition when I don't add the Allied tech bits (Athena/Mirage) and Soviet V2s that I use quite often along with the Allied and Soviet marine combo when in need...
