im sure we've all had that last ditch attempt to get that person to stay only a little bit longer. The ending refrain of this song, "call the surgeon / mend the pieces," just kills me. Pure emotion. i relate to this song alot, and to a bunch of william's songs. this song is tragic in such a brutally honest way. nothing about this song is contrived, just a simple request. i think the meaning is effectively conveyed.

Simplicity is beautiful. William is by far the most amazing artist in history.

I really want to figure out what guitar he's playing. I know some of you are saying it's a 60's Guild M-20 but no M-20 has a natural pick guard, they are all turtle shell or I guess now, plastic. It's bugging me so much! This thing is so gorgeous, also I the other reason I don't think it's an M-20 is because the wood looks to be stained cherry, and all the 20s are Mahogany.

I was just fooling around trying to figure this song out, and it looks like he's capo'd the3rd fret, but he is tuned to an Open-D tuning... it may be slightly out of tune, but his fingerings match up when I try and copy him in that tuning. Hope that helps some others to tab the song (or at least chords). If anyone tabs this out, let me know. I'm pretty lazy =P
