I remember going to many Midnight Shows to watch Rust Never Sleeps. Over and over. Before you could buy the DVD, or look it up on YouTube whenever you wanted. I had a 1971 El Camino, that was starting to decay and I painted "Rust Never Sleeps" on the tailgate. I was a Neil Young fanatic back then. Great memories, great Artist, great great music.

It's a well known fact that the Aztecs performed some of the most brutal acts of human sacrifice in known history, I think that Young knew this and was writing a type of allegory. This song could very well be about the loss of innocence which we all experience at a young age and how, in the end, we were never really that innocent. That would explain the lyrics about not knowing when one lost one's way. But that's all just speculation on the part of a fan with a degree in History. Fantastic song

How can 7 people not like this? It's a relaxing song that reaches into your soul, it brings up a welling feeling inside you, one that says you can do anything. It brings you harmony, relaxation, inspiration. I could die listening to this song, it brings peace to me, it's a fantastic song that shows bands like Dragonforce do not represent rock, and that rock is much more than picking up a guitar and strumming some notes. No, rock is much more, it's about soul and passion. This song has it all.
