@scarleteverywhere No you cannot play as Raiden w/o Game Shark and other 3rd party devices.. Some of the messages hint at future and past MK games, some are just messages from programmers that don't hold meaning outside of their offices. Melewski is the last name of the woman who voiced Princess Kitana. Princess/Melewski. Whom you end up saving.

believe it or not, they were actually going to. it was going to feature a story based on Sub Zero and Scorpion and was going to play very similarly to Shaolin Monks. Buuuut, our friends at Midway thought that shit like MK vs. DC Universe would sell a lot better.smh

and it did! more than 2 million copies worldwide! Mk vs DC like it or not saved the MK series and made MK9 possible. and with those numbers i would not be surprised if Mk vs DC2 would happen someday.
