what brand of oilpaints do you like to use?

did you put black gesso on there for the horizon?

i use bob ross products for wet on wet they are the best, and yes i did paint up to the horizon with gesso then i let it dry. and i put a small amount of liguid clear on the gesso area then i put a mauve colour on top of that happy painting
