It's not that it stopped working; they stopped working the Yeti. Energy consumption or something. It's not like they didn't sift enough money from all the employees' paychecks that they couldn't afford to make it work.

Screamscape says that they took out the yeti and are relating it to make it move again... they said even though it will move...it won't be the entire arm swing like on the original

ok, maybe its just me but i've noticed that every time i see the yeti he looks different, like sometimes he has like blue around his eyes and he looks skinny and there are times when all you can see is a big brown fluff with red eyes???? Which is the real yeti??? lol

I work at WDW, and I asked when they planned on fixing it. Not anytime soon, but they said they are making a whole new yeti, because this one's back is broken. Apparently they figured out why it broke and are making the new one with a stronger back.

I heard from several people that it was just the yeti itself that was the problem, because the structure wasn't strong enough to support the movement of the yeti. At the time they built it, it was a brand new idea to have that so its not surprising they screwed it up.

It was a very innoventive thing at the time it was made so its not very surprising they screwed it up. I've also heard that a new yeti is in the works with a much stronger back support.

@ChannelOfManyVideos Yep. They can't just close it down because it is one of the most popular rides, and to take out the Yeti and put in the new one it would take weeks, maybe even a few months, because they would have to remove part of the mountain to get into it.
