Wow! A High School Orchestra you say!? I AM impressed.
Indiana State U. well regarded reputation as a first class music school no doubt has something to do with this level of accomplishment at a high school level. Kudos.
This is absolutely incredible. Congratulations on an outstanding performance!!! I played this piece with the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony in 2003, and it is one of my all-time favourites. And to hear a HIGH SCHOOL orchestra - not a regional youth symphony - playing this so well is astounding!
I have to agree with you here. To get this performance from a city or regional youth orchestra is challenging enough. I'm just blown away at the talent in this one high school! I sure wish I had done my high school years in Indiana. WOW!!!!!
I'd have given my right gonad to have been part of something like this. Instead, I was stuck in a mediocre school band program and thus had no incentive to practice since you seldom get to play any "real" music in band. Where I went to school, if you were a musician with serious inclinations you might as well have lived on a desert island. You simply suffered through years of garbage like school fight songs during football season and then crap like Clifton Williams and James D. Ployhar after.
Just when I am giving up faith in music, i see high school kids playing this so beautifully. Really something special there

Muy buena interpretación. Excelente ejecución del allegro final, mucha fuerza.
Estos jovenes (a no olvidarlo a la hora de criticar) tienen gran futuro.

Do you have the rest of the symphony, or did you only play the finale?

Pretty good for a high school orchestra. The brass could anticipate more in the beginning. But really well done
