So the other day I was playing this on my PS3 and I got to this boss fight and I started messing around and ended up doing a slide jump + spin and made it over the crystals without the double jump! I beat this boss in about 15 seconds. Nearly 20 years of my life and I finally figured out that a jump plus a spin is higher than a regular jump. My childhood is complete.

You don't even need to wait for him to knock down his barriers. You can just slide jump over them and back.

An easy way of beating Dingodile is to do the slide and jump to get over the crystals if you can, but that spoils the challenge.

Here's a hint: do the slide+jump and you can immediately jump over the crystals. Makes this boss last only 20 secs.

You don't have to jump onto him, spinning works just fine. One thing to note is that if you let him shatter all his crystals, then he brings down a new load of them, and repeats his attack.
