  • Thanks for letting me know the vids are helpful

  • Wow - we are now planning a Spring Break vacation (mid-April) to the Edisto Island area. Was happy to hear your comment on April being on of the best times there. I have a number of pipes that I will be bringing to fire up on the beach in evenings!

  • let me know if you are up for meeting for a pipe in Charleston

  • I would really enjoy that, but I think we are going to go to Tybee Island, GA (where we have been before). We plan to make a trip to the Charleston area (and Coast) sometime, perhaps later this the summer/fall. Thanks!!!

  • General Douglas MacArthur used to smoke a corncob pipe :) he even had them made to his exact specs...i bet you knew that though.

  • Actually "Black Jack" Pershing introduced to the corncob pipe to Mac. No idea on where he got that Ray-Ban though.

  • are there any more hilly coutry or mtn´s in SC?

  • Half of it is flat and half of it has mountains

  • i live in Augusta GA, about a ten min drive to SC

  • I started to have an interest in pipe smoking as a teenager--and Gerald Ford, who was president in my teenage years--was a factor in this. We need another pipe smoking president in the United States! It would bring a distinguished style to any man. I think Barack Obama would look very distinct (and presidential) with a pipe!

  • Always a pleasure to see you puffing. You are one of the most enthusiastic pipe men here on YouTube. Puff on! :)

  • I've read that Richard Nixon usually smoked a pipe when visiting Gerald Ford, probably the best known pipe smoking president (and Nixon's second VP).

  • Prime Minister Harold Wilson used to be a pipe smoker. He regarded it as a useful tool when questioned by the media as he could puff on it thoughtfully which gave him some 'thinking time' for an answer!

  • love your wee snipets about your home state makes me wanna leave scotlands hills n heather n rain for your sunnny south carolina
