dude jailbreak me is closed.... you should be on 2.2.1 firmware or 3.0 firmware and if you have a 2gen then you cant do this at all and jailbreak me is closed out again and its never going to open again just watch my videos on how to do it for real

I dont got an ipod touch or iphone myself. But as far as I know it is a simple 'softmod'.

This means that it modifies or replaces the software on the machine which allows it to run 'unsigned' code. So than you'll be able to run software developed by a third-party developer.

So is it really worth it to jailbreak your iPod anyway? Would it be better to wait until the warranty expires, and then jailbreak it? Or if you jailbroke it, and you are having a problem with it, could you restore it from a backup so you can use the warranty? Is there any way for apple to tell if it has been jailbroke?
