if I may give some constructive criticism here, the brides are too over used in this production. The German production and the Broadway production didn't do that. They're practically chewing the scenery and moan and giggle through any scene in which they should be mysterious entities sweeping about. You really need to tone it down with them.
This is onre of my favort sences I love that line "Don't speak of Mina, you heinous monster" Dracula: you havnt lessoned I am the enternal life!" lol I bet you miss this show ! good job good singing good acting :)
OMG! I just remebered why you name sounded so familiar! Did you ever find that movie recording of this musical? And never mind about the location. I remember where it is now! :)
@Aveiraslover Hi Averiaslover! Good catch! His mic went out just before that line that evening which is why its so difficult to discern. He sings: "Don't speak of Mina, you heinous monster!". It isn't in the original script. Those 8 bars were added in the Graz production with Thomas Borchert. And yes! Cutting Hall is in Chicago. Glad you're enjoying it!
@cigarsnmartinis In Douglas Sills demos (one of the only demos with the line) he says "Don't speak of Mina, you soulless monster!" And Dracula replies with "You haven't listened! I am the Eternal man!" (instead of Lord) Yes, I have Douglas' Sills demos. And Tom Hewitt's... And Guy LeMonnier.
@LegendaireLestat you are one hundred percent correct. We actually added the line, its not in the score! We needed to repeat those 8 measures to add that dialog! Took it from the demo
@cigarsnmartinis I was just about to correct myself (upon re-listening to the Douglas Sills demos) that it wasn't "eternal man" it was "eternal Life" (or lord) but I was correct about "soulless monster."
