hmm, this is kind of an injustice to me. i love her voice, it's more relevent to artist of the moment, such as adele/duffy/natasha bedingfield/amy winehouse, those kinda blue eyed soul singers.. nobody was really singing this way 5 or 6 yrs ago. If she auditioned now she'd prolly go very far.

I think it's fairly safe to say that her voice is certainly an acquired taste. I think you either get it/love it, or you don't get it/highly dislike it. I'm torn because I was never a fan of her other performances, but this one is just so blatantly on point and showed real talent. It's stuck in my mind for years.

I never really liked nor understood her UNTIL this week, and she was simply outstanding. Sultry, subdued still yet very emotional, and just incredibly classy. Everything from the key of the song to her vocal runs to even the outfit she wore and the use of the stool... what a great performance. One of the season's finest!
