  • cool stairs man, killed anyone yet?

  • @Soundgarden8497 the house is really small and a dryer is blocking the doorway.........thank God!

  • @london1817 disappointing

  • Real men plough out their stringers!

  • @SiliconPirate What does that mean.

  • @london1817 a "plough out" is when you remove a section of the stringer with a router to create a pocket for the stair tread to join into. It creates a wood joint similar to a mortise and tenon.

  • OMG those stairs wouldn't pass code in a third world country lol

  • @savagebuster This is a 3rd world country! JK....I made it where its a pain in the ass to open the door. So nobody uses it. :)

  • @savagebuster LoL, he has the nerve to put this on film. Maybe he was stoned, that's the ticket!

  • We don't. All stairs are made from comonents done for each project ( custom ), there is many different designs. That's why. But if you are interested we can deal with any client overseas online ( we are based in Ireland - European Union ).

    Regards,

  • ALways try to use steel instead of timber - steel is stronger, much easier to design, precise., finally you are not wasting forests - they grow hundreds of years. and you want have any hassle casued by rotten timber in your structures.

  • @Lukaszandzel That is a good point. do they sell the steel sets at lowes?

  • @Lukaszandzel

what about cost? labor? and the overall impact on the environment? wouldn't composite be a much better way to go?

  • Ha ha! The right way? No landing, too much slope on treads, no middle stringer. I guess at least you are trying but you might want to humble yourself and change the title :) I have seen 1,000 videos on Youtube that say "stairs, the right way" and not a damn one is right. :) I guess I will finally have to put this to rest and make a video. By the way, when your uncovered sloping treads get icy you will find out the hard way why they should not slope :)

  • @ArtisanTony get a life tony.

  • @london1817 Typical liberal.

  • @ArtisanTony haha..I like your style.

  • @ArtisanTony hey man if you already know everything about stair building, why are you watching a "how to" video?

  • @goblinob It is a bit like a car wreck. You know you should not watch but you do anyway. :)

  • did I hear him say that the thread was going to lean a bit down so the rain will drip forward? is that the excuse for cutting the stringer wrong...lol

  • @FRISCO1001 You have a very keen intelict my friend! Nobody caught that ! Well done! Thanks for the comment.

  • @london1817 You spelled intellect wrong genius.

  • looks tough to walk on.

  • Sorry they are being so hard on you, But it's true. You should have a Landing

outside the door. Then the steps. Also, a railing system for anything over 30"

    of grade.

  • @dreambuilders48808 Oh well, Too late now...Hope the old guy that rents the place

    doesn't break his neck !

  • @london1817

It's Not too late. Could go back, pull the stairs down and build the landing. Thats

what I would do if one of my guys that work for me built something like that.

  • @dreambuilders48808 Yeah ...that's true...would be cool to have a landing anyway.

  • good job.

  • @gregvancom Well ........almost a good job..Thanks for the comment!!!!!!!!

  • Nice place to leave your drill.

  • @bucktheusa Hey !!!! what are you talking about?

  • are u working ?!!

  • wow this is NOT the right way

  • I hope nobody breaks their neck on it. Just a rental house in the Ghetto. LOL

  • Dangerous not to have a landing just outside the door before you go down the stairs, here code calls for 36 in. decking outside the door

  • crap, I hate it when your done with a project then you realize you did it wrong. I rented this house to an old lady...I hope she doesn't slip or what not!

  • damn!

  • not the way I would do it but if she's happy then it's ok.

  • lol im insulted, i bet they have collapsed by now you have all your weight on about 3 inches of string you crazy mofocker

  • You crazy muta!

     It did collapse!!!!!!!peace

  • lol im doin my first staircase by myself, it'l probly collapse too haha

  • fukd up or wut? lol not even if you got groundhogs? just a shytty carpenter you are =))
