Headcrabb, you don't know the difference between mbit and mbyte. This guy downloaded at 17mbyte which is around 136 mbit/s! That's a LOT faster than your 15 mbit!!!! My school has a 160 mbit/s connection, but I don't think they would allow me breaking this record.
I heard of this new p2p network that let people share information, opinions, and even advertise to peers on the network. I had downloaded the client software Herald, I must say its verrrry impressive! For you people who wants to check it out, the p2p network is call Global Herald Network which was just launched on 6/20/08.
Don't tell me, that you compress this stuff on delivery... I can't believe that an ubuntu-image will be on the INet without beeing compressed. But if it is not compressed and you've got a compressing algorithm which is not from this world, you would even not get something like an mp3 or compressed video get compressed even more...
Oh well, I have I think 3000 k/bits and I once downloaded like 5 mb the second on BearShare (p2p programm, pretty illegal though and better not use it)..
But yeah, that was p2p, and it had some real good speed
Ja,aber ich schaff ein anderen Rekord,da ich OC Explorer hab.
