In greek the 7th original letter is Zeta. God created the world in 6 days and on the 7th he rested. Zeta or "Z" is the end of the english alphabet and upon this 7 we rest. When we rest we say we are "catching some Z's". In terms of completion of octave, completion of an earth and completion of the day, as well as completion of the day of the week, the 7th then represents the prelude to the rebirth of the new or new day.
But "delta" waves are the human brain waves associated with sleep...
