The only thing I'd bitch about is if you're doing it for sport. It devalues the animals' lives. If you're doing it for food-- by all means, go for it. Just don't let the kill go to waste-- eat it and use as much of the body as you can. But if you hunt for sport and only use a few parts of it, it's a horrible waste, and rather insensitive. Until people started raising livestock, hunting was a necessity. Now-- not so much. So when it's done in sport, it seems callous.
Trust me... Hunting like this is WAY less torture for the animal than what you get at the store. Most of the people that hate on these videos probably just don't want to see the death of the animal in progress but would have no problem eating it.

Because the (white) Americans calls them `elk´, which is their name for the specie. No one ever claimed this animal to be a `moose´. The Indians (Native Americans) calls this deer `wapiti´. BUT - it's still an ELK (not `elg´ or `elch´)!

@k4zn4v3 yes actually they should dumb bitch. The meat in stores are for needed energy and survivability whereas hunting is just a sport of killing and is not necessary. I mean let's say lions started to kill everything all around the place making everything extinct I am pretty sure humans would exterminate them sayng they are bad for the environment. If there was a more advanced species than humans living on the earth I'm pretty sure they would do the same to humans.

@ZukoFireBook oh so let me guess, you think that the meat that comes from stores is needed. And you dont like hunting because its cruel. Cruel is the meat that comes from store, chickens for example are packed in farm housed with barely enough room to turn around. So if I have a choice of buying over priced meat froma store or hunting my own, i think i'll hunt my own. I never even buy meat from the stores, my hunting and fishing supplies the main source of food.

@ZukoFireBook if everyone became vegetarian tomorrow wild animals would go extinct faster than anything hunting could ever do because every inch of wild spaces would have to be bulldozed to make room forthe amount of farming necessary. what is more ethical way to getfood factory farms or a fair chase hunt? factory farm animals = unhealthy treated poorly. fair chase hunt = animals living healthy happy lives hunted humanely respected and only what is needed is taken.

also hunting seasons are set up to thin out numbers of animals that would otherwise die by disease or starvation. so you would rather an animal slowly die in pain from starvation or disease than a clean kill in a hunt?

seriously? its usually chicken or beef. sometimes fish. Do you think they are killed humanely? They are stuffed in overcrowded cages for months. If I want to hunt for my food, I will. Its free-range meat. And we EAT them. We dont just kill to kill. If you have ever eaten Elk you would understand why it is better than beef or chicken.

is a deer (Cervidae) and is called elk in north america but is technical an deer !
what the rest of the world call an elk would u call moose so just i misunderstanding.

In Danish (I come from Denmark) a moose is called `elg´, which could be mistaken as an `elk´, but they aren't the same animal. Elks lives - as far as I know of - no where else in the world, but North America, Canada and Alaska..... Mooses lives all around the world. Still elk/wapiti is the same animal! And this one on the video here, is in fact an elk/wapiti! :)

Because the (white) Americans calls them `elk´, which is their name for the specie. No one ever claimed this animal to be a `moose´. The Indians (Native Americans) calls this deer `wapiti´. BUT - it's still an ELK (not `elg´ or `elch´)!
