This isnt just an MMO, this is a video game based on an extremely successful TV Series, in which many people like myself have enjoyed for a long while - ive watched the show from sg1 to atlantis, and the only one I wont watch is the new garbage kid style version of the show... I think that idea was whats going to bring the company down lol.. they even joked about it in an SG1 episode... Anyway back to the topic, the game will be great and im going to give it a shot regardles

I used to play WOW i then got tired of it, so i started playing different MMO'S like AOC, Warhammer but some MMO's that don't need a monthly payrate are pretty good and these new MMO's like STAR TREK online, Starwars online, stargate online actually look very good compared to other MMO's. It's still going. The first batch of the beta was this past fall/winter and the second batch of the beta is about to begin.

And BaconPirate, its not full instance. The starting zone is an instance however. The first mission is by yourself. Ex. For Praxis Humans, you're a rogue NID agent escaping from prison. Once you finish the first part, you leave the instance and join the rest of the "escapees."
