Hi Ron, I'm the drummer who wrote you an e-mail this evening Sept.22.'09 Love the song you wrote "Because" Loved it when I was a kid and still love hearing it to this day. Beautiful, Thank You " K "
Thanks for your kind words. Dave was once a very good friend, I got to know him because my Brother (Mick Ryan) was the guitarist in the Band (before Lenny). We had an 'agreement', we shook hands as friends a business Partners, and a handshake and giving ones word to an Englishman means everything, his word his his Bond. Sadly Dave went back on his word, Google Ron Ryan, and visit my website.
Thanks Bozo, In this business getting screwed is par for the course. Thanks you again, Ron. PS if you search the web by typing in Ron Ryan you can get to my website, you might find it interesting.
As has been pointed out this is not a Beatles song, it is a song written by Ron Ryan, and recorded first by the Dave Clark Five. If you search the net by typing in Ron Ryan you will come across 'my music' and you can hear many of my new songs as well as some old ones including this one.
If you care to go back and see some of the early 'Dave Clark Five' records such as Sometimes', That's what I said', 'Do Dah', 'Mulberry Bush', 'All of the time', and a few more you will see two names Ryan, and Clark (although Dave did not write one word, or one note of music on them). When I wrote 'Bit's and Pieces, 'Because', and 'Anyway you want it', Dave said he wanted to be like the Beatles, and just his or Mikes name on them, but I would still get my share, (I did not), that's the truth.
Nice version by two great artists. RIP Gordon, and...ROCK ON, Peter!

Obviously...THE DC5 were a whole lot more than just singers and musicians. Their sound was their sound. They had "it"!!!
