  • very challenging game. loved this game growing up especially tuning your ride and putting a supercharger or 3 deuces on an amazing car you win after starting with a piece of crap

  • Amazing. Thumbs up mate, that's the better racing game ever.

    Cheers,

    Bitner

  • @biiit

Thanks dude. Indeed, with literally a new Mulholland Drive every new gameplay, it has tons of replay value.

    Cheers,

    Steve

  • i remeber this fecking game lol

Certainly the creators were very imaginative with it's desgn somthing that been lost lately

  • I could never beat the king

  • Why did you use the Chrysler Imperial??

  • Dude my hats off to you and your AWESOME run on Mulholland Dr. I disliked that race with great intensity LOVED this game. Man I miss my Falcon with big V8 duel tunnel ram slicks no glass pack headers and 4 speed racing trans.....

  • ey thats California Dreams from C64/C128 Amiga....

  • Man I used to LOVE this game! Never beat it though...

  • so cool when you leave with his car. Too bad you cannot use it.

  • Wow, this is pretty impressive for a C64 game.

  • I Love this This race was easy once you rememberd the pattern!

  • @Danielhsv0

It is easy but the the hard part is to keep your cool on this race. I almost hit the gutter near the finish on this one, lol.

  • @superallye Yer nice race...!

  • @superallye Lol Yer that would of sucked....Street rod is still an Awesome game these days!

  • @superallye I always hated the mulholland drive, but the aqueduct one is my easiest.

  • I never believe i will live enough to see the end of the King ! You have a top place in my hall of fame just over Michael Schumacher and below Prost Lol

  • @TakumiFujiwara80

Wow! Thanks Takumi San. I'm sure you can win this too. I know this sounds corny but the key to this game is patience.

  • @superallye Not only one person with that kind of think!I just can`t finish it because i don`t know how to change in low gears and at that f#####g bump i lost the speed! Can you tell me??

  • @And4ea8

To upshift, hold up arrow then space bar. To downshift hold down arraw then space bar. That gray area you have to lower your speed to 50 or below. However make sure you're not too far from your opponent or better yet he's behind you as he can go throught gray strip without slowing down!

  • you made it!! i never could!

  • @guillo88

Just remember 90% of the cause of crashes here is the fast auto-centering of the steering wheel, causing sudden turns. Bear that in mind when avoiding road obstacles.

  • I didn't think it was possible to end this game. I mean: sr1 is too easy, but sr2 is too difficult!

  • @Lanciarules

Blame the journalists who wrote in a game magazine SR1 is for wimps...hence SR2 was born

  • They should seriously redo this game.

  • @slovan

I agree. However sadly I tried contacting several developers about it including Codemasters and Simbin to name a few but nobody wants to make it :(

  • Thats stupid but I prefer the graphics of the original Street Rod.

  • @bbenjoe

LOL! What did you not like about SR2?

  • Impressive!

  • @K0kum0

    Thanks ;)

  • sucks how you dont get to drive the corvette when you win

  • @560287144602817

That's in Street Rod 1 though but you're right. on SR2 you get his Shelby and the game ends.

  • @superallye well you get his Shelby and his woman.

  • @madmax2069

Yep, now if I only had a virtual boner, I'd be happy XD

  • is this like an old Test drive unlimited :p ? or GTA

    '??

  • @FsRulz

Yes, it came same era when the first Test Drive games came out in the late 80's. You can now download it for free and try it yourself :)

  • @superallye ah the oldest game i remember playing is by accolade, called Grand Prix Circuit.. the fun i had :D

  • @FsRulz

Grand Prix Circuit came out in 1988. The very first Test Drive was 1987. Did you had a chance to play TD1? Back then it had killer car modelling, (no other game companies rendered cars that detailed) and jaw dropping graphics at 16 colors EGA :)

  • @superallye Nope never tried TD 1 :( :(

But i did Play Dinosaur Pang!

  • baaaad

  • i miss this game n hacking it was fun too :-P

  • LOL 61' Imperial? gosh, the chassis alone in that weighs more than the whole GT500 itself

  • @LitterboxDiorama

lol! Indeed dude. It was hard to win with this behemoth while others used a Corvette haha...

  • God DAMN it, how y'did this? I could never beat the King in mulholland drive, as I always ended up crashin' into somethin' because of the horrible steering. How many times you tried the Mulholland race when you managed to memorize the obstacles?

  • lol, thanks dude. The first time I finished this it took me a week. You actually can't memorize the track and its obstacles as every new game it generates a different Mulholland. You just have to master the handling of the car, lotsa practice.

  • Kudos to you man, I had tons of money and lots of cars and was eligible to race the king a few times, but figured it was just flat out impossible to beat him on Mulholland drive. I'd always crash on a tiny rock that'd pop out of nowhere and all of a sudden my dodge charger would be totaled with my bloodstains on the dash lol

  • Thanks man. I have experienced those as well. The key to wining this game for me was the intrigue and the challenge teased me lol. Most common cause of crashing on this game is on the steering; the wheel autocenters abruptly after a turn causing the car to steer uncontrollably to any obstacle nearest it. While you're turning the wheel in a curve, make sure to look at the opposite side at the same time looking for obstacles before letting go of the wheel.

  • man deja de ser tan inmaduro con tus juegos pobres y comprate una puta computadora nuevo

  • I have a fast rig and the latest racing games you dipshit and before you open your stupid mouth try and see if you can finish this difficult game...not win, just finish. May be old but I bet you won't even finish. If you can't then shut the fuck up.

  • man i remember wasting hours with that game lol

  • @bigblockbryan1982

Those hours were not wasted my friend...look at your nickname now ;)

  • I've always wanted a re-make of Street Rod, or a sequal. It would be so sweet.

  • If only huh? I'd like Game Seed to develop them if ever.

  • how do you get the gear down? i mean from 2 to 1

  • What do you mean? You can downshift anytime by pressing down arrow then spacebar.

  • i didnt know thanks

  • Cool! Good Luck dude. If you can record your gameplay and post it here that be awesome! ^_^

  • Same graphics like the old Test Drive games!

  • The first one was, the second one wasn't as good though.

  • Ótimo trabalho! Parabéns! * * * * *

  • Top gear 2 music -3, Sega Genesis

search this name to get best top gear 2 musics.

    enjoy!

  • what's the trick with that grey patch on Mulholan Drive?

How can you go over it?

  • I've lost many a car on Mulholland Drive and never really made it past the starting block.

  • is there a street rod 3 i rly liked the 2 but is there a 3rd one?

  • There is but it's no official and it's totally unplayable. Unfortunately no game company wants to make the 3rd one, believe me I tried contacting many of them.

  • It's unfortunate. This series was loved by so many.

  • Shit! Nice work. always loved Street Rod 1 but was useless on Street Rod 2. For some reason my car would always smash on that funny grey patch on Mulholland drive if I didnt smash any earlier.

Never could figure out what I was supposed to do there.

  • SR2 has always been incredibly difficult. The reason was because the game press back then mocked SR1 for being to easy. California Dreams the developer took offense seriously, hence SR2 was born with a vengeance!

  • That girl at the restaurant always annoyed me, having to watch her skate about :)

    5/5, good job :D

  • lol, yeah and while she's at it, you're keyboard stops working...forcing you to watch her! XD

    Thanks for the rating man.

  • How old is this game?

  • It was in 1990 but its difficulty will haunt future generations of gamers to come, MUHAHAHA!!! XD

  • i was never able to get past the fist turn on this game lol

  • Wow! I've never seen anyone beating this game. Well done!

  • Cool! Thanks Man. =)

  • lol ! i never made anything only sprinting straight...

and ohw yeah... i hated that rolor skating bitch...

  • wow thnx ur a real legend!

  • Ur welcome dude. Enjoy the classics

  • dude i cant get it to work on windows vista help!!!!!!!! plzzzzzzzzz

  • Try DOSbox. Google

  • P.S. you should post a vid with a Charger

  • I think I tried it with that but the car was harder to maneuver with its weight even with all the mods.

  • Dude, thanks for showing the power of a Mopar in that game. Heck, thanks for beating the game with an Imperial instead of the wack-ass Corvette! MOPAR OR NOCAR

  • lol thx Dude! :D I love this Imperial which looks like Christine.

  • Classic game right there. So whats the best way to play SR2 Amiga or DOS?

  • Thanks, you can play the Amiga version with an Emulator called WinUAE and for DOS use DOSbox although see first if the DOS version will work normal under Windows cause 9t's always better to play unemulated.

  • lol this is what TDU would look like in the early 90's

  • Believe me, graphics may be dinosaur era but gameplay is better thatn TDU ;)

  • Good on ya, you have achieved where many others have failed... to bad the games outdated though lol!

  • I like ur comment. Well if you ask me, any very difficult game has reached stasis ^_~

  • Ahhh so you need to go really slowly over that peice of road.

  • nice one man!!! I could do beat The King like a year ago with a vette. Street Rod 2 and DOSBOX RULES!!!!!

  • thats the first time i've seen the ending of that game after all the hours I have into it

    nice drivin

  • i usualy expand a time of my life in this game and never see the finish

    nice end

  • Thx dude. You can finish this. There's just one rule on this game; no margin for error. But, yeah it's possible to finish.

  • haha cool i beat it but i always crashed into the guy to slow him down..but it was just luck cuz could never do it again

  • Hats off to you sir!

  • Thanks boss!

  • heeeyyyy! sit on it!

  • You are a god, I didn't think this could be possible! Greetings from Italy

  • Thanks, nah I'm no god. :) It just takes some intrigue on this game to make one challenge it. When I first played this, I found it too difficult too(it still is) but the challenge made me fantasize of beating it. XD You can too.

  • I tried this game out and it's quite difficult but come to think about it, kind of fun to play.

  • skoh, try Street Rod 1 first. That's the starting point for this series. It'll orient you better on part 2.

  • man, i can't win that mulholand drive section, the gray section... how to pass there without crash and without going too slow ? and that little rock is TOO anoying!

  • You have to downshift & slow down to around 50 mph just BEFORE the gray strip. Don't downshift too much or you'll overrev your engine, just one or two gears down is fine. Make sure you do this cause if not then after you exit the gray strip you won't have enough power to accelerate quickly.

  • oh how i do love horiontal speedos...

  • i used to play this

  • Congrats on beating the game. Wasn't winning enough though? Taking his girl as well is kinda overkill :-)

  • Thx, well I didn't take her she was the one who went after me ;)

  • Close call on the last gray strip on Aqueduct. :p

  • How is it that when the King drives his car on Aqueduct that his girlfriend isn't in the car, but in the final cut scene, she is? :O

  • She's still there, just prolly ducking under the headrest, freakin' scared of the speed LOL!

  • Hahaha ;)

  • You beat the game too? Four times! You are a machine, and I mean that in a good way.

  • By the looks of your hall of fame board, it looks as if you can't stop playing... haha

  • Sorry, I only meant to post the "Winning the Game" video as a video response... haha

  • My respect to you: very nice job! I finally beat the game too! Though, it seems you drive a little more cautiously than I did... oh well.

  • Thanks John, congrats! I have high admiration to ones who finish this game. About my driving it's not that I'm driving cautiously lol it's just that the Chrysler is a heavier & slower car than the one you used. Thanks for your suggestion of the DOSbox BTW.

  • Yeah, I made that realization after I posted the comment--sorry. Again, very nice job!!

  • "the king's girlfriend has taken a special liking to you & this may be the start of a beautiful friendship". hilarious. reminds me of the time when saying four-letter words was a taboo

  • this game looks something like a very primitive test drive 2. was distinctive software or accolade involved in its production? the game is kinda crappy though.

  • Don't let the simple graphics fool you guys. I'd salute you if you can even finish a race on this one, not necessarily win lol.

  • i also noticed that you caught up with your opponent at the end. that's kinda........should i say strange. like the computer is giving you some kind of advantage.

  • If you notice the initial parts of the track are mostly left & right curves which is the big Chrysler is weak at(heck it's no BMW ya know). The end is just one long gradual right curve so I just kinda drifted and passed the lower geared pony car. The Stang is nimble like I said but the Chrysler has a higher top speed so I caught up with it. Download the game & try it, you can find it on google.

  • This game looks like it was made with MS paint.

  • LOL!!! true.
