cuba is one of the greatest places for music and dance. cuba is the most innovative when it comes to music, it is always progeressing and the people demand excellence from the bands. African rythms and moves can be found in music the world over. it has a arge influence in jazz, hip hop, etc. listen to the drums and let them move you.
Wow, Cuba is the motherland where Mambo, ChaCha, Rumba, Guaguanco all started. The roots are in Cuba for Son too now commercialized known as it's 1960's inception name of Salsa, hummm interesting. Viva Cuba!!!
you know the roots of all this music is Kongo, Bantu these are Kongo, Bantu people the rhythms are Kongo, Bantu rhythms, the people of central Africa, when I see Cuban music I dont see Cuba, or Cubans yeah by nationality, but race, and culture these are my people and my music, yaw know mambo, rumba are all Kikongo, Kiswahili, Bantu words...real recognize real...
Me parece que el que està narrando este video es: AL Fuentes..., "EL AFRICANO".

Yeah that's Pupy all right. I was fortunate to play rumba with him a month ago, and catch his performance here in San Francisco.

The guy dancing at the end of this video is "Pupy" who has been teaching dance & living in N.Y.C. for at least the last ten years.
"Pupy' is the same dancer who can be seen in the movie "Calle 54" dancing in the Orlando "Puntilla" Rios segment of that movie.
This video shows him pre dreadlocks, before he left Cuba.

Thanks for pointing that out. I have had this video for years, and didn't recognize Pupy without his dreads and beard.
