@selvmordspilot yeah you are european this is why you need to study the region and its history more. the Syrian regime is secular (look up ba'ath party ideology, it was established to stand against the Ottoman empire). the Syrian people tend to be religious for sure but the regime is secular. however, its secularity did not prevent it from being an evil totalitrian regime. just because they hate Israel, doesn't it's theocratic.

Bradley hits the nail on the head everytime with what exaxctly is going on in Syria.
