  • 5:37 begins my favorite part I always wait for :D

  • I went in to see this expecting it to be another routine Superhero movie...

I came out a new man.

    All hail Nolan and Zimmer.

  • 5 people got killed by the Joker after the heist in the beginning.

  • For some reason, bits of this piece remind me of the original Batman score by Danny Elfman. Althoug, this is much better.

  • @torysama Especially the beginning! I can't help but feel Zimmer put that in there as a little tribute.

  • @knotwrite My thoughts exactly. :)

  • @mathewleemeixner racist!

  • i can only remember that doushbag almost press that button and blow up the ship

  • @mathewleemeixner My argument. Both Zimmer/Howard and Elfman composed for two different Batman eras. While Elfman had a classic comic book feeling, Zimmer/Howard has a dark, modern feel to the score. Each were memorable, dark, and blast to listen to. And surprisingly, each composer's song reminds me of The Animated Series. And yes, I know I mentioned Howard when this is about Zimmer and Elfman. Well Howard helped with the score so i'm including him as one of the creators of The Dark Knight music

  • @SpexGuy1118

I am sure the Animated Series came out after the first Burton Batman film and the intro was based on Elfman's score

  • @fungboy3 It did. I was saying, each sounds familiar. The intro to the show especially sounds like Elfman. (Cause I think he did the intro too)

  • I agree with Mootalited I thought I was the only 1 who felt like Chris Nolan series= live action version of BTAS

  • This music is so moving. So emotive. Thank you for your brilliance, Hans Zimmer; Can not wait to hear the music for The Dark Knight Rises.

  • i LOVE the part @ 6:42-7:02

it's so powerful! thanks for the upload!

  • @belladonna4577 You're Welcome!

  • does this soundtrack remind anyone else of the soundtrack for the Batman:Animated series of the 90's?

  • @Mootilated A little. This was one of the best Batman movie scores ever, but the 1989 film's score, by Danny Elfman, will always and will be #1.

  • @anthonymarsh1 you forgot 'imo' anywhere, I suppose.

  • 3:30 - 4:44 "and here... we... GO!" Joker

That part is total fucking anarchi-terroristic-tense-desperate-monster dramatic and beautiful.

    Best Part to me.

  • Rainymood (dot) com

  • 6:52-8:59 is the best part. Remember kids, just because it's good music doesn't mean that it is a good mo-Who am I kidding, this movie is amazing! If Hans Zimmer did the music, LISTEN TO IT!!!

  • 4 people lived long enough to see themselves become the villain...

  • @dandan688 fuck off

  • "Why's he running, Dad?"

"Because, we have to chase him..."

"But, he didn't do anything wrong."

"Because, he's the hero Gotham deserves... but not the one it needs right now. So, we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A dark knight."

  • After going through t the whole OST finally found the song I want and it's the last one...

  • 1:12 to 2:40 and then 5:37 to 7:05...goosebumps, goosebumps, shiver down your spine holy crap that's some damn good music.

  • 6:41 =D

  • This track is describes the feeling of hopelessness perfectly.

  • What's the name of the piece where Batman throws the Joker off the edge of the building near the end. It played in Batman Begins when Ra's Al Ghul dies with the train, but I can't find it anywhere.

  • @pokexplosion21 I believe it's titled "This is Why You Don't Screw with the Batman". Only a guess though.

  • @CuriousGeorgeMonkey9 lol, that would be a good guess, but unfortunately not ;) I found it, it's called "We Are Tonight's Entertainment".

  • @pokexplosion21 he didn't die, he doesn't die

  • 0:00 to 1:03 is AMAZING!

I hope they use more of this in The Dark Knight Rises

It should be Batman's main theme!

  • 4:42 and 4:52, amazing

  • SOOO ready for Rises!!

  • 7:10 - 8:59 - my favorite part

  • 7:05 the best moments

  • amazing soundtrack this is i love it and it sounds dark also :-) fits with the movie :-)

  • I gotta think the string section maintaining that rhythm has got to be strenuous.

  • Harvey Dent's story is truly tragic. The reason I love Batman more than any other super heroes are his villains. None have superhuman abilities (excluding Poison Ivy, Bane, and Killer Croc just to name a few) but are as cruel and sadistic as they come. I wish they could have done more with Scarecrow seeing how he was my favorite.

  • sadness

  • 1 person found out how the joker got his scars

  • @neonnoise13 You're Welcome!

  • 1 person are so serious XD

  • idk why...but i seriously convinced myself that Dark Knight Returns was THIS july 20th '11 not '12.......i really put my hopes up for that and i shot my self down... -_- dammit, oh well cant wait!

  • @chicho095 LOL that sucks.

  • even the calmest parts give you the sense of many things happening...

  • :) cant wait to see the dark knight rises next year :D!!!!

  • I love how he included little bits of the old batman theme in there. Fucking masterpiece.

  • Lol, the Joker disliked this.

  • "What were you trying to prove? That deep down, everyone's as ugly as you? You're alone!"

  • Whats the song when Alfred save batman from the burning building in the first movie? I can;t find it anywhere!

  • @MrGeneralJB batman begins soundtrack tadarida

  • You either die a hero, or you'll live long enough to see urself become the villain.

  • cannot wait till the third installment

  • @mackydelacruz59 yes,it's "only" 16min. long ;)

    great soundtracks!!and very good quality,thanks :)

  • wheres part 1??

  • Remember this name... HANS ZIMMER

the greatest movie composer of our time !

  • @kryss87 Remeber this name as well.....CHRISTOPHER JONATHAN JAMES NOLAN

The Greatest Director Of Our Time!!

  • @kryss87 will do

  • sometimes...the truth is not good enough...sometimes...the people deserve to have their faith rewarded

  • This would be a great music when in battle at war.

  • Wow I cant wait!! We are playin parts of this for our Christmas Concert on December 14th!!! Of course it wont sound near as good as this♥♥

  • @LovingDuctTape That's neat...good luck with the concert!

  • hey no part 3?

  • ...Is is sad that this song literally makes me want to cry around 6:45 from the sheer awesome? Like, I don't ever, EVER get emotional over songs, but the raw, powerful emotion and buildup is so crazy in this track. Hans Zimmer is by far my favorite movie composer EVER. :)

  • Oh man. This track is by far my favorite. I mean the others are gorgeous as well, but this takes me into a whole other realm. Really gets me in a writing and drawing mood. :)

  • @DoodlezNStuff Agreed doing both right now haha

  • I like 6:16

  • "What were you trying to prove? That deep down everyone's as ugly as you? You're alone."

  • Actually, is it my imagination or is there a little tribute to the Elfman soundtrack snuck in there for a few secs?

  • @donerlich yup its on another track as well (first 10 seconds cant remember which though sorry)

  • 3:23 onwards. Truly nerve-wracking

  • the only thing that keeps hans zimmer from the top of my favorite composers list is that all his work sounds very very similar. Serioulsy listen to all of his work and you'll notice the similarities with only a few subtle differences. Im not saying he isnt good, i do enjoy his work, its just all the same.

  • @4thelulz789 too true, individually I love every piece but collectively you are correct. Funny that!

  • @4thelulz789 You're quite true about that.

  • @4thelulz789

Yeah, Inception's soundtrack tends to sound the same most of the time D: Meh, it's still good music. I guess it would be his preferred style... Epic music with a lot of crescendos and lots of sound effects... It works out :P Either way, I still like his music. I feel that the tracks have their great similarities but have major differences as well :3

  • @AngelixArch very true

  • @AngelixArch the Inception soundtrack is less dramatic

  • @faceless340

Not really ._. the last song played, Time... it uses the same concept this one did... But it's pretty emotional if you realize what Cobb is going through at that moment... And then there is Paradox, which I have to say IS a paradox... I dunno, to me those sound pretty well done by Zimmer. But yes, this particular soundtrack IS very dramatic, so there is no argument here :P

  • You wouldn't by any chance have the batman begins soundtrack?

  • @hutchesonproducktion Sure, it should be on my playlists.

  • @opus289 Oh ok thankyou!

  • @hutchesonproducktion You're Welcome!

  • Wow!!

Makes me wonder, how in the hell are they gonna top this music in future films?

    That was awesome.

  • @regin2005 With the Inception's OST... that's how :D

  • @leocdc7 Hell yes.

  • Thats epic...Christopher Nolan you did a great job:) My favourite Batman Christian Bale:)

  • thank you so much !!! I love it !!

  • @HKitty49 You're Welcome!

  • gota love how everyones suckin zimmers dick, wheres James N Howards love? he actually did most of the score!

  • @bunneyo

I was about to say that lol, but how do you know that JNH did most of the soundtrack?

  • @windowsVD Let's just agree on the fact that they're both fantastic composers and that they've "COLLABORATED" in making this masterpiece!

We'll all be happy then <3

  • @windowsVD In fact, the style of the OST is primarly the Zimmer style if you pay attention.

  • magical

  • kinda love the elfman bit just before the first minute mark ;)

  • one word.. WOW

  • this soundtrack is one of my all time favorites

  • True masterpiece of Hans Zimmer. He also did a good job in Modern Warfare 2, especially for the Spetsnaz Themes!

  • the tension building up to 4:00 is awesome. And the best part is that it does not resolve traditionally. Fantastic

  • 6:17 O_O beautiful

  • I love Hans Zimmer damn!

  • So go ahead DO IT!

-We're still here...and that means they haven't killed us either

  • Cool!

  • 1:12 sounds like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Hans Zimmer also made the soundtrack for the game.

  • @djdane You can call that his calling card. If you check out the Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack you can hear a similar part in one of the tracks (I forgot which one it was).

  • @ProdigyChild920 It's similar to the Kraken them from PotC Dead Man's Chest.

  • @djdane No, is modern warfare like batman

  • @djdane You can his style of music from games MGS4 and COD movies Pirates of the Carribean and The Rock.

  • @djdane

i would say, MW2 sounds like this.

  • @djdane lorne balfe made the ost for MW2

  • @nfsmohpsp they both did.

  • @MP7A3 actually zimmer made the main theme only, while lorne did every theme else

  • @djdane not all of it, the rest was made by his friend lorne balfe

  • @djdane yer he has his moments. hopefully he will come to his senses and do battlefield next time! ;P

  • @djdane

At some point sounds like Crysis 2, ya know.

  • @Kr0mleque

    Its the composing style.
