@runatune I agree £35,000 was a weak offer but £55,000 may have been a bit too much, I would've thought somewhere around £40,000-£45,000 would do the trick, and not to mention the Banker doesn't often offer the average anyway.
Wow! Gimme, Gimme, gimme. Found this researching Gaz Robinson, a 2010 player whose game did no go to plan. He lost 3 of big 5 very early. In a poor game he was though offered £20,000 the best possible. The £100,000 was on table here and he had fall backs. Gaz R motto was Its not about the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away and he applied this to the end. He went home with just £500. For more and pics see both entries at Englistics blog at wordpress.
Maybe they needed another six-figure winner on the show - I don't know - but both offers we see here are derisory. Gaz realised this and punished the banker for not giving him more realistic offers. Well played, Gaz.
it wasnt a choice that gaz won 100k, it was a 100% random thing, he "randomly" picked that box "which randomly" had 100k in it, this box decision was made AFTER he was "RANDOMLY" picked to play in the first place for that particular day, it was COMPLETE LUCK that he had 100k in his box on the day he was chosen, what do you mean "oh maybe they WANTED or NEEDED a 6 digit winner"? why would they WANT to GIVE away that much money? its RANDOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The potential for big winners attracts viewers which then attracts advertisers. It is an anti-climax when the player deals with one or two large amounts remaining. Occasionally the banker will force the player to continue by making paltry offers so that the player will have THE CHANCE of winning a large sum. This is how the show produced its only £250K winner. Of course it is completely random and the banker does not know what the boxes contain. I wasn't suggesting otherwise.
As a fan of the show I have realised his offers have become lower, an all blue opening round is now giving an offer of £12,500 max, when in season 1 it would produce a £20,000 opening offer. He wants to push people till the end and also, players are taking his crap offers lol.
Oh well...I still believe the game is random, but they need anohter £250,000 winner. Its been nearly two years and no second 1/4 millionaire :(
lol. that was a good game but everyone came running upto him like he won 250k? lol

I'm an F1 fan, and it's the same sort of attitude drivers need to become world champion and this game backs it up.
