@Tallyock : I used to live in Memphis. Channel 5's studios at 1960 Union Avenue is located right across the street from a police precinct. The police precinct has a tornado siren at it's location and that is the siren you hear in the background.
I was actually down stairs, in the living room watching this, but it was when we got home from voting and going to the store. There was apparently a funnel cloud that landed in this huge field near the Kroger (out in Arlington) and..wow. I saw another funnel cloud up in the sky, almost peed my pants..but Im thankful that nothing major happened in this small town. I actually saw this coverage. This and on channel three..LOL i kept switching back and forth..but wow..one year? *shakes head*
Memphis, TN has had 4 Tornadoes (including the one on the Super Tuesday Outbreak) since 1950. And Staten Island, New York ALSO has had 4 Tornadoes since 1950. Isnt that something? so why does Memphis, TN have Tornado Warning Sirens and Staten Island, NY DONT?!!? Why do people think that Memphis, TN is Tornado Alley when Memphis got about as many Torandoes as Staten Island, NY?!!!
