I recommend Frank Turek's 'I don't have enough faith to be an atheist' and Tim Keller's 'The Reason for God'. Lewis's 'Mere Christianity' is another serious take. What you have to understand is that God set things in motion from the beginning. He did try to destroy evil once, with the flood, but it all came back. Satan is always on the prowl seeking to destroy. If the world would come back to him and ask for forgiveness, he would not let the events unfold, but that won't happen. It is not a game. Atheists I've met and conversed with were atheists of convenience, using their atheism as a cheap refuge for immorality. After all, if I can put away God I have license to live as I please. The arguments of atheism are old and weak. You would not recognize evil without a backdrop against which to compare it. That backdrop is God. Try hard to imagine evil if evil was all there were. It's impossible. No. You must have a point of reference for any comparative analysis, and good and evil are just such a comparison. My sis died this year in August and her and I used to encourage each other with this song when it was a top hit back in the 90's. During hard times of frustration or grief. I dont get why god doesnt wipe out evil now. Satan and his angels have the freedom for prolly going on a million years to do what they want to do. God gives people time to decide what they want to do. Hasn't god done enough to this world? Creating creatures knowing the end result such as demons. God is a psychotic individual, and he is fully responsible for his creation, youd think GOD would have more of an impact on his creation but he doesnt, he has a very weak impact on his creation

God does things in His time. There are certain things that need to take place before he defeats evil. Man creates his own hell by turning his back on God. God does have an impact on those who accept him and worship him instead of worshiping things, such as money, material items, other Gods, etc. If you want answers to all of your questions, the best place to find them is in the bible.

For those people, it is hard to seek what you do not know. If i do not know jesus is real how am I supposed to know? God will never die, he is eternal, you and i are not. What you have to understand is that God set things in motion from the beginning. He did try to destroy evil once, with the flood, but it all came back. Satan is always on the prowl seeking to destroy. If the world would come back to him and ask for forgiveness, he would not let the events unfold, but that won't happen. It is not a game. He lets us have freedom of choice and he will not control us like robots. t=That is mot his way. We have to love him and follow Jesus, on our own.

Would you want to follow a god that destroys something out right if it doesn't fit into his plan? He wants us to love him and have faith and not be scared into following him. You want Him to wipe out evil?! Do you want Him to start with you? You could not stand in His presence. That fact that you hate Him and His people is about as evil as you can get. You have no idea how much love and mercy it takes to allow you to even breathe.

I always thought god knew what was best for me, so I pray and pray for the bulling from a christian boy to stop but he didn't. The church told me that we should pray when I was getting bully. because of this story when a girl prayed for her bully to stop, it did stop. Some time ago my pastor was with his friend who had a broken leg and they started praying and the guy felt a snap in his leg and instantly he was healed he started jumping around praising the Lord and the doctor who was watching couldn't believe it!!! How do explain that without God???

@DoNotLaughAtMe No. Jesus died and paid for our sins. Its not by works and therefor we dont have to fear hell because Jesus already paid the price for sin. Now the morals are based on common sense and pleasing God.
The eternal consequences are gone but you still get the earthy consequence and are still responsible.
Example: If you are a drunkard, then Jesus has wiped away the stain of sin but you still face the fact that your dieing of liver disese and reponsible for it, etc etc.

Everyone else is subject to being judged by the law. God has told us over and over that none of us are worthy of His grace because we are all sinners, and will not enter the kingdom of Heaven. He wants us there so He made a way through Christ. To believe in Him means you will live for ever with Him.
