i completely agree with you....i can also really relate to this video, i HATE sitting in the pub while my friends go for a cigarette, smoking was always allowed in pubs, there was no need to change it, non-smokers had no problem with it either, i'm pissed off with it all too mate!

Here in Phoenix, USA there have been similar bans, but some bars get around it by removing their windows and becoming "outdoor bars", a convenient loophole. Unfortunately probably not an option in a place cold like the UK.

Fab clip. I worked in a pub, the result of the smoking ban was the landy landy went bust!!! There for 8 staff lost there jobs, just befor xmas! I even asked the non-smokers if the smoke botherd them 9/10 ppl didnt. Hows that fair??

And when I do go to the pub wich isnt often, for the reson of staning outside, the ppl who dont smoke come out for a "fag" with you,because the dont wont to be sat " watching the drinks"

We compromised for decades. It's never been good enough. (I hear both smokers and antismokers complaining now about the good old "smoking or nonsmoking" sections.) Bummer. Compromise is usually good way. Now, rather than choosing between smoking and nonsmoking, choice is truly limited because so many places have closed due to smoking bans. Above all, antismoking attitudes have destroyed friendships and families...and law and science and.... *sigh*

Funnily enough all my mates have started smoking now (cigars) as a direct result of the ban. Where the smokers are is where the fun is. Everyone knows that. So what choice have they got? Be like the guy in the video, or have a cigar? This ban needs to be modified, and soon!
