Well....i use a Sin and i dotn really have a probs takeing down a War. Use a Sundering prefix or Elemental Weapon mods and the 20% AR bonus is nothing.
Wars are awsome i have 2 of them, but when it comes to pure meelee dmg output nothing beats Sins, alltho Dervs are close ^^. Takeing meelee might be a Wars AR bonus , but you can avoid that easy =).
You are both right and wrong. Warrior is built for Melee combat ect ect but still this fight was a complete waste of time. Melee Vs Melee when one of them is a blinder is the biggest fucking BS yet. Its like giving a paragon fire skills.
From my personal experience in 1v1s and RA/TA on my necromancer. Dervishes can handle an old fashioned necro ass-kickin for a lot longer than your average warrior. Any retard can play any class and make the class look bad, but Warriors don't stand a chance imo. Dervish ftw.
i know this was mentioned a few times, but class doesnt matter, its only builds, esspecialy in a 1v1. you could pit any 2 classes together and there will always be a way to overtake. i laugh at the people that say how a derv can hit harder or a warrior is only good for KDs. yes a derv can hit harder, but a warrior can also take harder hits with his high armor raiting. the game is balanced so no class is "overpowerd" over another. this is something people dont seem to get.
I Agree in PvP all the GW classes are balanced out =), Monks might be the exception in 1-vs-1, but most classes can take on any other class, its just about the Build and the players skill.
i agree different builds can take out any proffesion it's just you couldnt have a build which could tak out every other proffesion or that would be totally pointless, there has too be room for weakness in everybuild, the day someone builds a error-less build which is multipurpose ill give them 35 ectos.

My bad for not reading the other 84 responses before sharing my opinion. Overpowered or not, it was cheap. Tossing in a proverb about life not being fair, as an excuse for you being a douche, is about the lamest thing I've ever heard.
I guess what I should have said was "It's not impressive to watch a duel when one of the participants purposefully shuts down the other player, then brags about it." A frontliner blinding a frontliner is the GW equivlant of a boxer nutchecking his opponent.
That fight didn't look very fair...It looked like the Warrior was prepared for fighting a Dervish, but the Derv wasn't prepared for fighting a Warr. Dervs who are built for it, can whup a Warr easily.
dervs are for pussy noobs who cant use any other char, they are so overpowered. i hate dervs with a passion and kill all of them who want to try. i do it with a war or anything else that i choose. if u use a derv ur a fucking loser!

besides, i'm not saying their damage is not high but, when it comes to need, derv's pressure is almost null because you'll do no damage when you should...there'll be plenty of times that you'll know that your next hit will kill the guy and he just heals before you hit them...EVEN with IAS...

I added a black->purple mix. The result black velvet. And My derv looks stunning with the Tormented scythe since the color of it is black. With the purple glowing runes on it, witch are in the same purple hue as the velvet.
too me it is cuz i suck with warrior lol...everyone can pwn a derv if they know how to use there class. i just ike derv cuz there massive damage and their ability to heal/+armour n them (i know others can too) but...yea...:P
dervishes got nerfed to hell on their mystic regen in pvp. (glad they at least fixed it in pve tho) But yea it depends on the skills of the player and skillset they bring and how they use it. Blinding the dervish for example was a good tactic to keep from taking hard hits from lyssa. Intterupting the enchants also a good tactic. The dervish didn't seem to be able to counter much of what the warrior did.
I agree, every class and furthermore every build has its weaknesses. Nothing is really PERFECT, but some builds are better than others at certain tasks. It all depends on your teammates and what you're fighting. For example if I go into RA as a warrior, I'll bring healing signet because chances are I won't get a monk.

the best classes in PvP (other than healers) in my opinion is warrior and ranger, they are both very flexible.
rangers can deal massive amounts of damage AND have spammable interrupts.
warriors can spam knock downs while dealing 100 dmg/swing, or they can run an axe/sword build to put massive pressure on the entire enemy team.

My bad for not reading the other 84 responses before sharing my opinion. Overpowered or not, it was cheap. Tossing in a proverb about life not being fair, as an excuse for you being a douche, is about the lamest thing I've ever heard.
I guess what I should have said was "It's not impressive to watch a duel when one of the participants purposefully shuts down the other player, then brags about it." A frontliner blinding a frontliner is the GW equivlant of a boxer nutchecking his opponent.

That fight didn't look very fair...It looked like the Warrior was prepared for fighting a Dervish, but the Derv wasn't prepared for fighting a Warr. Dervs who are built for it, can whup a Warr easily.

Dervs are overpowered nothing should kill a 600 hp target in 3 attack skills and have the spike recharge quicker then a fucking eviscerate warrior ;) ow yh did i tell they deal more damage outoattacking then a warrior ?

besides, i'm not saying their damage is not high but, when it comes to need, derv's pressure is almost null because you'll do no damage when you should...there'll be plenty of times that you'll know that your next hit will kill the guy and he just heals before you hit them...EVEN with IAS...

You need some look but believe me eviscerate spike will NEVER deal that much damage ;)

@periandros19 my dwerv tanked 2 elementalist and 2 warriors its took them atleast 60 seconds to kill me and i was the last one. It was hilarious i think dwervs are over powered

My dervish also has Primeval armor.
But from the start i dint wanted to have the standard black most seem to love so much.
I added a black->purple mix. The result black velvet. And My derv looks stunning with the Tormented scythe since the color of it is black. With the purple glowing runes on it, witch are in the same purple hue as the velvet.

dervishes got nerfed to hell on their mystic regen in pvp. (glad they at least fixed it in pve tho) But yea it depends on the skills of the player and skillset they bring and how they use it. Blinding the dervish for example was a good tactic to keep from taking hard hits from lyssa. Intterupting the enchants also a good tactic. The dervish didn't seem to be able to counter much of what the warrior did.

I agree, every class and furthermore every build has its weaknesses. Nothing is really PERFECT, but some builds are better than others at certain tasks. It all depends on your teammates and what you're fighting. For example if I go into RA as a warrior, I'll bring healing signet because chances are I won't get a monk.
