Played the PS2 game SM3 in 2007, liked it, but not enough to say it's one of the better ones

A year later played the PC version of SM3, thought it was the best SM game since the start, played it more trying to relate to the hate it got, found more things to love in it, several tricks and bigger entertaining value

Only valid criticism I found after finishing the game 26 time people gave:

1. Game is too glitchy (though glitches don't happen much, and most of them are amusing)

2. Quick time events are annoying (for boss fights they are, the rest aren't)

3. Street missions need more variety (everything else has good amount of variety)

Swinging isn't dumbed down, you can shoot long or short web lines, and short ones help for swinging tricks to make it more entertaining. 90% of the complaints are stupid

Pros...........Amazing fighting combos and the city looks great along with Spiderman Himself. Descent looking graphics, not AMAZING but good.

LOVE the scenes when spiderman has to dodge things and you have to push the buttons. Fails sometimes, but not a big deal. Trial and error.

a TON of missions. I'm not even over half way yet. A little choppy, but hey, I didn't care for the movie all that much. I do like all of the spiderman games though. So I rate the game 7.0. Good. Enough said. :)

CONS.......The guy is right on the Spider sense, big groups of thugs are terrible and the bosses are SUPER hard to beat. A lot of button mashing for boss fights. THINK ABOUT IT..........imagine having this great power and being completely clobbered by Kraven the Hunter. I think the developers don't give spidey enough POWER. He has Super strength and Agility. Hmmmm...... Swinging is Super slow compared to Spiderman 2.

In the Treyarch edition you have plenty of Spidey goodness, it only has the symbiote because the movie does. For full value of the alien for the entire game you can play with it and all upgrades you unlocked playing as Spider-Man before beating Venom

On the ps2 version the is not the top game. You keep on doing the same thing, You have to beat a guy, he runs away, you follow him, his helpers will try to stop you you will have to fight him, and then you have won. That is the some routine you keep on doing in nearly the whole game. The mini missions are all the same, defuse a bomb beat or beat somebody up.
