  • Did you consider running that pipe through that hood a few times? You could probably pass it through 6-7 times? I realize this video is old but since it's still up I thought I'd ask. Also, was this your final design? Thanks.

  • Don't check out "cheap solar tracker" stupid thing don't work at all. Made my own tracker circuit.

  • My guess stainless steel. a little more exspensive but will last forever.

  • Nice trogh! I built one 10 feet long that worked really well. My reflective material wasn't as good as yours, what did you use? I did realize that it needs to track the sun to be viable. Check out "Cheap Solar Tracker" on YouTube. I will be building one soon and will send you a vid.

  • What a waste of time

  • @321ozzy where's yours?

  • @krozbolt

Up till now I hadn't seen any answer to questions that were asked some months ago, so without any additional information in the video, nor answers to questions it was a waste of time.

What is the capacity of the pipe?

I heat up water (2 cups) with a parabolic dish in 20 minutes in full sun, around 12.00-13.00, earlier it takes longer.

    The dish is 80*60 cm

  • @321ozzy

NOT a waste of time, depending on the reflector's length you could OCTUPLE the energy output if there were a strip of solar panels in place of the black tube

  • Is the media mirrored acrylic, aluminum or what?

  • @wjj4832 just mylar sheeting from ebay

  • Nice work! I wish you would have given us a little more info about how you made it, performance, etc.

  • What are the temperatures can you get out of that?

  • @Rainh2o69 this one heated water in the pipe to about 60degrees C in about 5 minutes.
