I saw him in a much MUCH smaller venue in the Sydney comedy festival this year and he was fantastic, and the smaller crowd responded better to him as well. He really seems to be a comic that needs to be up close with the crowd, and then he's very warm and charasmatic. I can see why the Enmore would have been a fail for him.

We were there and saw him as part of the cracker night line up as well as see him in his own stand up at the comedy store. The crowd was into it - and they filmed us clapping at different intensity at the start to 'overlay'. It's likely modified.
