thank you for posting this, A lot folks forgot or did not see the invasion of USWA by the WWF which would effect storylines for many other promotions.
I didn't know Vince used to be a heel back then, I thought his first heel run was during the wwf attitude era...can anyone explain what was Vince doing in USWA? was something going on between WWF and USWA that time?
@owaisinus It was a very little known interpromotional feud in 1993 between the WWF and the USWA, where some of the guys who played babyfaces in the WWF were heels in the USWA simultaneously, like Vince McMahon, Randy Savage, and Tatanka. Lawler also played a heel in the WWF at the time while playing a babyface in Memphis. It was a very interesting angle that WWF fans did not know about at the time
@AceDagger1 I know I'm late with this, but USWA was promoted by Jerry Lawler and Jerry Jarrett, Jeff Jarrett's father. They were swapping talent as well. This was about the time Jeff was showing up on WWF programming as a country singer if memory serves.
@AceDagger1 Don't forget Sid! He was a hated heel when he worked in the South but got cheered for everything he did in the Northeast (watch Survivor Series '96). Only difference was the babyface cheers were NOT intentional. Lol.
@DoubleTalkingJive He worked as a heel in the Northeast too at times. The way the fans responded to him there is another story. At Survivor Series '96 he walked in as a tweener (he had been pushed as a face since his comeback in the summer of '96 until he attacked Jose Lathario the week before SS)
So this is the true debut of Mr. McMahon

What an awesome promo--McMahon's by far one of the greatest heels of all time.

Now I feel less ashamed that he won the ECW title...actually I don't but luckily it was only the chrome belt.

So that's why Jerry Lawler hated McMahon while commentating.
