whats even cooler is that if you have an android phone this also works. and the aps are free. i use one called team viewer. also even cooler is that my phone has a wifi hotspot built in. i connect the computer to the hotspot and i dont need a router. works perfect but does use data. i have the choice though to use it if i dont have a router. and i think that the guys in my band can also use the screen share with their phones. this way they can also adjust their monitors or anything else.
I love what your doing here...however, the unfortunate truth for my band is that most of the churches we do concerts for do not have WI FI...could the same thing be accomplished with a VPN? If so, how so? (= Thanks!
@coletrane342 Don't know about the VPN but If you have a macbook / macbook pro you can make it create a network and connect to that with your ipod/pad/iphone... if you can't do that then just get a cheap WiFi router to carry with your laptop wherever you go because as long as the computer and ipod/pad/phone are on the same network (doesn't need the internet, just them on the same network) then it'll work :)
@Theportrait That's correct. This is so you can put your finger anywhere on the screen to move the cursor: 1. without the cursor "jumping" to where your finger is and 2. So that you can actually see the cursor without your finger being in the way. This is because a non-mouse gui is interfacing with a mouse gui. It's really the best way to go about it. Just treat the touchscreen like a mouse pad on a desk and your finger is the mouse.

It looks like the mouse pointer is not directly under your finger?! It looks the same way on another video, using the ipad.

It looks kind of strange because I was holding the phone at an angle. But it works just like clicking on any object on an iPhone.
