wow you just remind me of my first day with my 2005 R1 hahaha.. Honestly it took me 4 attempts to be able to get it going, I keep on stalling the engine haha, the guy from the dealership told me that they can deliver the bike but im so confident that I can do it and luckily I got it home after a few more times stalling it at a red light hahaha. I started at 125 cc and jump up to R1 good decision? hell yeah!!!! im so enjoying my bike right now Its been 6 yrs since I first bought it..
I hate these "you cant ride that its too powerful" comments, it wont go fast unless you make it go fast, you have to be a total rookie or a total retard to pin the throttle and drop the clutch and run it into the back of a van, and even on a 125 if you did that, you might not make it to the van but if your that inexperienced, youll probably poo your pants, grab the breaks, lock the wheels and fall over.
worst way to tell a new rider to get something he can handle...that will just get him on the highway in 2 weeks with his brains spread across half a mile.
Well if you were attempting to stall on your first attempt then congrats you did it.

Mate, it's OK,
it's better than taking off and falling off it. You'll get there...
