I hate this argument that guy used where he said if we "give" drugs to kids. Who said anything about giving kids drugs? I'm sure most parents aren't going to give their kids crack, and the ones that do do so REGARDLESS of any drug laws. If anything, kids are less likely to mess with stuff that's legal. This "war" is so silly that it's about time people pull their heads out of their asses and demand their representatives have this bullshit repealed.

People, just check Ron Paul out, decide for yourselves. On this particular issue, just like on almost all others, he believes that individual states should be able to pass their own laws. So that for example sick people who legally under state law use marijuana for medicinal purposes don't get prosecuted because of conflicting federal laws. Let the people decide.

@broncfan23 well for one thing, he's publicly stated that he's against the civil rights act of 1964. but more generally he thinks states' rights are more important than civil rights. he thinks that states have the right to make sodomy illegal, he is against federal courts upholding a woman's right to her body, and he wants states to be able to promote religious doctrines in public policy without any interference from the supreme court.

First off we do not live in a true Democracy..we live in a Representive Replublic where we are 'respresented' by elected members...so in some cases the entire country can be for or against something but the 'representatives' we elect can trump the disires of the whole. the issue becomes that although we can choose to elect somone different , there are many issues not just the one that formulate our desicion to elect somone.

It's a constitutional republic and we should have natural law. that means that no vote or no law can change that you have free choice to put what you choose in your body.
