  • I'm guessing they're poisonous Cobra berries and are dealy to ever human being on earth except for Chuck Norris

  • um i may be wrong but cherries?

  • It's yaupon holly and it'll cause you to vomit. I learned this from one of your earlier videos on wild berries.

  • Comment removed

  • Coffee beans.........just thinking about drinking some. Just watch the birds, you can eat anything a bird eats.

  • Your descriptions are great. However..If you're gonna do videos on "what is this, and can you eat it" why not get a better camera so people can actually tell what it is. Another suggestion would be to actually tell people at the end of the video what it is and if it;'s edible or put it int comments. It may help city dwellers who dont get out in the woods often, and also help people who arent in your part of the country. Unless of course you're not sure. Then I would get a plant ID book.

  • im going to have to agree with "icthus560" looks like Holly Berries, and you cant eat them.

  • look like holly berries to me, not edible.

  • Not a high bush cranberrys you are in tx.

  • Looks like Firethorn not Hawthorn.

  • itrs called a DINGLEBERRY U DICKFACE

  • I know exactly what kind of berry that is. It's called a blurry red thing that isn't clear enough to make out because the camera sucks.

  • You know, if I don't know what some kind of berry is, I don't eat it. So, edible or not, I wouldn't put it in my mouth.

  • Well, I can't make out the berries from the video, but if they are edible, and you eat too many of them, you will definately get the runs, possibly dehydrating yourself.

  • they are autumn olives they are edible but they re very bitter but they are full of lycopene 8x more than a tomato but they are bitter until autum they are a member of the eleagnes umbalata family

  • I think they are Holly berries but I'm not sure from the picture quality. They are not edible. Many birds have an immunity to the poison and will eat them, but only if they need to as they are very bitter. The leaves of most Holly species are edible but not a good source of nutrients.

  • they are dingleberrys (origin)clumpy shit clogged on dogs ass hair

  • look like chokeberries

  • Mountain Ash not edible, but birds get drunk on them in the fall.

Kind of like cats and cat nip. Oh our dog, Bugzee eats catnip too.

Picture quality is so poor it could really be anything.

  • actually the berry meat is edible, just dont eat the seed.

  • ya their edible. if you want to die from eating holley berries which are very poisonious. no,they will kill you [video quality is pretty bad i hope i'm right.]

  • hawthorn can be made into soup:)

  • looks a lot like a brazilian pepper tree.

  • those look like my balls after getting kicked by a woman

  • how much land do you own

  • It's hard to see the plant...

They're not poison sumac, are they? That could kill you, if you eat enough of them. They look a little like Holly, though.

  • Looking back on it, hawthorn are either red to dark purple almost black. Those here are Yaupon Holly berries and make humans vomit. See how they are in clusters and look at the leaves and branch. Again these make you vomit. FINAL ANSWER.

  • Yaupon holly i think.

  • they are ganja berrys they give u a good trip

  • berries white, devils delight... berries red, you will be dead.

  • You typically want to stay away from red berries. And a safe sign is if the leaves are bigger and oval shaped. Those were small and glossy... Basically I wouldn't eat these unless I was really in trouble.

  • Oh and I guess HAWTHORN BERRIES

  • So what are they? Serious I would like to know.

  • those arnt berries those are apples retard duh.

  • those are blood berries you eat them and you become a vampire !

  • why they are red berrys

  • thats how easy it is to make a mistake, make sure you wear your glasses.and dont eat anything you're not sure about.

  • could be yaupon holly in with case dont eat them, they'll make you sick,

  • um i might be wrong there ,the picture is pretty fuzzy, cant see the leaves properly

  • this is hawthorn,or sometimes known as the poor mans bread and butter as children with a slightly better constitution ate the leaves and berries, as a snack, not that they taste anything like bread and butter.

  • Grimbo is a twat!

  • Clearly they're Crunch Berries. And if you eat too many, it'll cut the roof of your mouth.

  • omfg!!

  • there your nuts.

  • It's a red berry!

  • its strawberrys!!

  • your retarded..

  • you think?

  • yes. your wife told me last night.

  • i dont have a wife

  • oh you murdered her and threw her in a lake i see.

  • speak for yourself

  • its a dingle berry.........

  • hell I don't know. what the hell are they?

  • are they related to the little black berries you find on the ground in sheep farms?

  • HOLLY. Don't eat 'em. I have some like that at my house, but the leaves are real thorny. If they are holly berries, do NOT -- I repeat do NOT -- eat them. They're poisonous.

  • Looks like Christmas time in Texas :)

Sorry I haven't been on the site, been keeping busy and active this Winter.

  • Love your video's I'd appreciate your opinion of my video's @ kmilesell

  • Have you really posted 318 videos?! I've watched quite a few of them and will watch many more. I'm glad you're trying to educate people about survival. Thanks to you and many others on Youtube, there are more people who might survive in rough situations. Keep it up.

  • I'd rather pick off a rabbit with that nice weapon you have. lol I would say no to the berries

  • Sir, would you like to take in a new 23yo. child?

  • I have watched all of this guys videos. This guy is so damn cool. He has everything! He, if he had to, would never have to leave the woods! I have family, way over in East Texas, Sulpher Springs, but they don't do any of this stuff. They watch t.v. all day. I know, W.T.F. right?

  • If you eat them, you will either hallucinate and see a bunch of weird stuff, or get the scoots...

  • I can't say for sure, but the closest matching pattern in my Peterson field guide is a Winterberry Holly

I can't tell if the leaves are smooth, or jagged from the clip.

  • It appears to be Yaupon (Ilex vomitoria)

"Chowing down" on them would probably result in what it's botanical name describes.

  • lol you went to the website too i see

  • Bird berries. I would not eat those, but find someone who would.

  • haha your block hahahah

  • is it gut berries ...if u eat it to much u vomit... am i right???

  • i love your berries

  • Dangle Berries

  • dangle my berries in yo mouth!

  • lmao

  • If i spot animals eat it. i would.. if not, i should avoid eating those. If im too hungry. I might be plucking some of it and feed animals. They know better than i am :P

Will check on your links regarding the pictures

  • choke berries and if u eat to much tou will have stomach problems.

  • some1 has been readin hatchet lately

  • that was a good book

  • yeah it was

  • i think so to

  • DINGLE

  • No you wont, your blocked.

  • yeah no1s laughing dude, dont make stupid comments like that on vids like these, not the right place...

  • Is it Oriental Bittersweet?

(I chose oriental because American has fruit on just the tips) If so, then only the leaves are edible, not the berries.

General ruling when I was growing up... never eat a red berry unless you are positive it is edible.

We had gooseberry bushes, which started out green berries but can't remember what they turned to. Asparagus green berries turn orange but are a small berry here and there. Gooseberries you can eat, not sure on Asparagus berries. Thanks for the vid.

  • Visit the link in the video description, the answer is there.

  • Whilst I appreciate the idea of the quiz, best advice: DON'T EAT IT IF YOU CANNOT IDENTIFY IT! Berries are generally a fairly useless survival type food for the sake that they are typically seasonal fair, and are for more work than they are worth. Just like mushrooms, NOT worth the risk! Not my area of the country, so I have NO idea what they are! Hence, you will NOT catch me eating them!

  • I do not think i have seen these in PA...hmmm

  • I think I saw Bear Grills take some of these berries and make a tea they give you some carbs and vitamin c but thats it you eat them they will give you the Hershey squirts but in a tea they can provide some nourishment. That is what I think I remember about this, name it I can't It is good to know what is edible out there should you have to live on the land. I saw one guy eat a turtle after placing shell and all in the fire. You can catch shrimp fish and crayfish too all by hand and live well.

  • honestly here is west texas there is no plant like that except the rasberry

  • Crape Myrtle? I'm probably wrong but that's my guess.

  • Visit the link in the video description, there are some pictures posted there.

  • No idea what they are called, but I've seen them here in NC.

    As far as being edible

I know from personal experience. When it comes to berries, if you don't know what they are, DONT EAT IT. Ecspeccially if they are abundantly growing on a tall plant and they don't taste good.

I had a long night with a lot of gingerale to prove it (diarrhea and strange green berries).

If those are the berries I've seen on an old deer trail, irregardless to if you can eat them, they taste disgusting.

  • Cotoneaster??

  • dont eat them. i bet youd get awful diarhea and puke a lot. not fun when you dont have toilet paper

  • i would say no dont eat them, there was alot there...it they were good (you said they were ripe) the birds would have eaten some.

  • cate nebunele sunt pe acolo m-aduce sa le culeg da:-}nu singura !

  • cool

  • i only feast on dingle-berries in the bush.

  • haha

  • pit berries

  • it is a beef berry!

  • Never seen berries like that before but if you do eat them I would eat charcoal to absorb any toxins they may have.

  • At a guess I'd say youpon .I got em growin in my back yard but never known whether they was edible or not.

  • if birds dont eat them then i dont

  • i would not eat that

  • Hawthorn berries lower your blood pressure.

  • idk what they are but i wouldnt eat them if i didnt know what they were.

  • HAWTHORN BERRIES :)

  • Hawthorn berries are good for heart ailments.

I would assume ya would get da sh*ts from eating alot...I dont know... :O I dont eat berries i dont know alot about...just me :)

  • china berry

  • ok i guess its rowan berries

  • i dont have the name at hand - but i would say dont eat them

  • Wouldn't want to eat them since I can't positively identify them.

I'm guessing the side-effect of eating too many is diahrrea like most other berries.
