  • all those sharp sticks would be a fatality in my oscar tank.

  • Dmn man that is sad, please upload new videos soon if you still have the tank .

    Peace,

    Erik

  • @AweSomo84 Still have the tank, but I've moved recently so... Sooner than later I hope.

  • @killakalilolo aah oke man i hope all is well.

    Take care,

    Erik

  • @killakalilolo can you make a update?

  • @RaffleReefer10 Sorry but these fish all got adopted out a while back when I moved across country. This setup no longer exists. I will update when I get things going again.

  • beautiful... and wat is hith??

  • @Terelldotcom Hole In The Head, if you can see all the white blotches on the forehead area, thats it. Real bad stuff. It eats away at the flesh until it eventually kills the fish, or you fix it. Basically

  • Thats a serious case of HITH. good thing you rescued him.

  • where do you live? because i need to get rid of my fish too

  • i was wondering if u could answer my question...ive had two baby plecos in my tank now for quite some time they seem to be doing good then all of a sudden i look at my pleco and it looks like his eyes have sunk into his head a little can u tell me why this is???????

  • plecos eat algae... if u change the water that often wont it malnurish your pleco?

  • @combatthug Plecos eat all sorts of stuff, algae just happens to be one those things. In a normal tank I would say they get most of there nourishment from uneaten fish food that sinks to the bottom. But to answer your question, I often feed mine steamed veggies, like broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, ect.

  • So all these fish are rescues?? I see the oscars have Hith! Anyway greatjob on helping out these poor fish! 8x2x2 tank for rescue fish? NICE ONE!

  • Thanks, HITH is a real pain. If nitrates get above 20ppm it flares up real quick, and it heals SO SLOW! After I got that Pacu I have had to start doing 50% water changes twice DAILY just to keep good parameters.

  • @killakalilolo

I know what you mean,i rescued a medium size Tilapia Buttikoferi an while back who had Hith! He now lives in a 4x2x2 tank bye himself. He is now VERY HEALTHY and active,i do a 50% or more waterchange everyday or every other day, there is never any unetean food or waste in this tank ever.I feed him, scallops, mussels, king prawn, frozen river shrimp, squid, massivore delite, carnivore pellets, cichlid gold, cichlid excel,Hikari large Algae wafers frozen black worm, brine shrimp, white worm.

  • @killakalilolo

Also i feed him,Peas, sweet corn and add vitamins to his food! Filtration consists of two fluval Fx5's One Eheim 2213 and a Large power Head. The Hith has basicly gone now.Buttikoferis are great fish to own.

  • Thats a hell of a diet, but it doesn't look like you have any vids posted. I'd like to see him.

  • @1RichardTrentonChase There are always people getting rid of fish where I live. The excitement wears off, or they realize they cant take care of them anymore. I just keep my ears open. I guess it works out for me and the fish, they get a new place, and I've never bought a single one. I pass them along if I meet someone who has a big enough house for them, and know what they are doing.
