the best way to fix a whine coming from your subs caused by engine interference is to run a wire from a solid ground on the head unit to a solid ground on the amp. then ground your amp
I didn't check the before and after on hf, but i can tell it wasn't a miracle cure for it.
I saw/read an article in QST about a fella how did this to his new vehicle and he claimed worked, so I gave it a try and it worked like a charm on 2M.
it does look retarded, but works. hard to argue with results
