This ddrum dominion series sounds incredible

I have a problem with this kit's 12" Tom, it gives me a fading harmonic and the only way to eliminate it is with the remo's and it changes the natural sound of the drum... That's the only Con i've found so far..

@InsaneTuga 20x20bass, 8x12 rack, 12x16 floor. The Dominion Maple Pocket series have been discontinued and sold out. The only option in the Dorian configuration would be black. We do have in available. Let me know if interested.

the toms on this kit are more agressive than the ash, its hard to decide which i like better...but overall i think i prefer the ash.

I have this kit in the Snow Sparkle finish. It also came w/ the 8x10 rack tom. I love it. I put coated Evans G2 heads all around and the GMAD on the bass. The bass drum is an absolute cannon. It get so much praise from in-house sound techs when I travel for shows.

Just tune the drums with a drum dial and they should sound fine with stock heads but I'd upgrade the heads either way and use the stocks as backups.

i need to know..i just can't get a sound like that out of my DDrum..is the reso head tuned tighter than the batter? and are they tuned really low so they don't have too much overtones to it? i would love if my kit sounded just like that, i'm jealous.

It sounds amazingly powerful even in a smaller tom setup. Is that the 12X14 or 12X16 floor tom he's using? You guys going to review the Ash version? I like the Blue Hardtail color, but I don't want to buy an Ash kit if it's weaker sounding than Maple.

Eric used the 12x16 in the video. We are shooting the ash kit tomorrow. Ash is a little harder to tune than maple but, when you get it right it's oh so good. We will be using the exact same settings for the audio so, you will be able to A/B the kit's well. Check back soon!

I own this pocket maple in the same tequila sparkle finish. That room you recorded this in must be draped with sound blankets or you have tons of moon gel on those toms because even with coated Evans EC2's my toms don't sound as dead as they sound in this video. I am really diggin this kit though and I would say it's a nice value for $880. Just curious why you don't have both floor toms set up for the video? Also, the tequila sparkle finish looks amazing under just about any lighting.

Thank you for your comment. The 1000 Sq. foot room where we recording this video actually has NO acoustic treatments of any kind. All heads are factory, straight out of the box. There was no moon gel used on the drums. The microphone signal path is listed under the video info.. no fancy studio magic... 2 mics, directly into the camera. Great sounding kit!

I admit, this set sounds really good for stock heads. Are you sure each lug is tensioned evenly on your drums? the slightest difference in tightness with 1 lug, will make the drum sound untuned and crappy/cheap.
