  • She's a beauty !! I just picked one up for 75.00 and with the controls . I haven't run it yet and will be doing the dreaded waterpump on her. Great job on the restoration

  • Actually, that particular engine belongs to a friend of mine who restored it. If you go to Johns Old Mercury site, detailed step by step directions are under "White Papers"

  • NICE!! That is one beautiful Mark 28. I just picked up a Mark 28. How much fun are the water pumps to install. I seen in my manual that it looks like a headache and a half. Love the video's.

  • I have one of these I'm thinking about selling...hasn't been run in 20 years and needs some restoration. Any interest out there?

  • do you mind telling me how ( in detail ) you hooked up your meter and the hookup on the motor to check the motor RPM?

  • Slick video! Maybe Carl wasn't so nuts after all, for she does shift nicely with one hand.

What prop was the "one"; an 11 pitch, I'll bet?

    Jeff

  • Thanks Jeff, I can`t tell you what the pitch is but its a 3 blade that gave better performance (rather than the 2 blade)considering the weight of the boat with 2 people.
