  • those two clowns are in the presence of a rock god

  • Edge knows that you need to stand for the anthem.

  • this is fucking amzing, Page, White and the Edge woow, i cant believe it¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • AMAZING!!!

  • man Jimmys rig sounds dirty as hell. brutal les paul tone

  • This was the point in the film where Jimmy basically says "SILENCE, mortals! Yee who behold my coolness will someday inherit the gift of riff. Until then, observe and learn and DO NOT challenge my rule!"

  • JACK WHITE'S FACE 0:03

  • Jack and the edge are constantly on opposite sides throughout this video the edge is all for effects loops etc and jack is kinda old school and likes the rough and tough sound and they constantly justle for position over page, but this defines the moment when page just shuts them up and is like "Shut the fuck up and jizz over my POWER " :L age = idolism :) 0:22 really is jacks jizz face :L

  • Why would you put these three people in a room together? Jack and Edge are cool. But they don't even play in the same audience as Jimmy.

  • 0:04 I love the look Jack gives The Edge.

  • so amazing how they smile when he starts playing. A true Legend!!

  • It's so cool how incredibly much respect they have for the master.

  • Jack looks sooo happy to be there (((:

  • 0:22, jack is in heaven.

  • well... those two guys just came in their pants. and i dont blame them

  • i can picture Jack White when he was ten years old in his bedroom listening to Zep and then here he is watchin JP play it

  • you see that ? those are the eyes of an incoming musical orgasm because of what jimmy page is playing them.

  • i love jimmy page

  • YOU NEED COOLIN' BABY IM NOT FOOLIN

  • jack and edge : "oh my god...the right chords?!..really?!...we always played BA-BAM BA-BA-BAM!" :))))

  • It's so nice to see this :-)

  • definitlely...

  • Look at those smiles. They really can't hide their admiration for Page.

    Makes me smile too :-)

  • Aw lol I usually don't give a fuck about the edge but I think his and Jack's reactions were really cute.

  • edge is like O_O YESSSSSSSSSS lol its 'cute' when famous people get star struck like that

  • @Flyingv1985 ,lmao so true

  • Genesis, jesus, God. Right infront of there eyes.

Fucking legend! no! Legend with a capital L.

It's impossible to overestimate how much of a Legend he really is.

  • they're forced to smile, i know how they're feeling but they must be on 100x higher :D i was like this when my guitar teacher started belting out a load of red hot chili peppers songs

  • aw, such fanboys.

  • 2 people missed the like button

  • The second greatest guitar player ever plays the greatest riff ever in front of Jack White, who is really great, but will never hold a candle to Jimmy Page.

  • Jack and The Edge know they are in the presence of greatness and they should cherish every single moment of their time spent with Jimmy Page....Just think if Jimmy Page would have stayed a session musician, there would have been no Led Zeppelin nor would we have heard all of Jimmy's great playing on all those great Led Zep songs...And there probably wouldn't be the great classic " Stairway To Heaven"....Something to think about....

  • IOMMY AND PAGE AND GILMOUR

  • Comment removed

  • Just imagine the chaos if Hendrix were on set...

  • @MonkeyKingNicholas OH SHIT

  • @AtLeastIGotChicken1 picture if they were all just kicking back, and then he just rips into a sickassed Voodoo Chile Slight Return.

  • Jack just shat his pants.

  • Jack adores the way Jimmi plays, haha, head tilted to the side smiling

  • Umm where's the rest D:

  • Comment removed

  • i like how jack puts down his guitar, like he doesn't feel like he should be holding one when that riff is busting out

  • they just jizzed in their pants.

  • if you listen to Jack Whites playing on the Elephant album you may know why he is having a " I never thought I'd see this" moment here . There is a definite Page influence .

  • The other two guys smiles like small children, good siene.

  • yawn

  • fuck me he even fucks it up there! sloppy as shite

  • love this scene! this is the moment it hits jack white and the edge that they are in the presence of JIMMY PAGE! Love their expressions and reactions. it is very child like.

  • i love the way the edge just stands up as soon as he hears ythis song like its excitement and respect for him. and jack is looks overwellmed!

  • old school wins once again!!

  • just where do white and the edge fit in as legends,------- white, edge, legends= oxymoron.

  • @plonker00765 White is on his way. The Edge will never be legendary for anything except hiding behind a mountain of effects pedals

  • jack was jealous and the edge jizzed in his pants

  • @spankingcactus1 i don't think jack white was jealous. there is complete admiration in both their faces. i am pretty sure jimmy was a hero to jack when growing up because of his style of music. i was surprised at the edge's reaction during this. U2 started off as a band against rock-n-roll gods. they started off more from a punk attitude towards music.

  • Both The Edge and Jack white are getting schooled. Damn

  • Is this a TV Show called It Might Get loud or something? When and where was it aired? Thanks

  • @Marcoshary No it's a documentary.

  • Wow This is incredible!

  • Edge had to get out his seat for that one!

  • Look at Jack and Edge at 0:04....kids in a candy store. I love it.

  • The Edge and Jack White are great but ...

    WHY MATT BELLAMY WASN'T THERE????????

  • @IINodataII even though i don't like The Edge that much, but seriously? Did you just compare these guys to Ballamy? Ballamy is just a piss stain in front of them at the moment as a guitarist! Especially when you have the papa of them all, Jimmy fuckin' Page standing there!

  • @theezzyjet dude wtf, have u ever listened to matt bellamy (NOT ballamy) play? of course nobody's better than JP but in MY opinion, he should be in that movie instead of The Edge. listen to Muse's discography before talkin about him

  • @theezzyjet is "Bellamy", i think he is great, is a guitar player and singer! also play the piano like The Edge (or better) and he was created an unique sound, designed his Manson's signature aaaaaaaaand just kick ass on stage...but talking about guitar players (although not the same style) maybe you prefer Satriani, Vai, Gilbert, Eric Johnson, Petrucci, Clapton, etc matter of taste, all of them admire Page

  • @IINodataII so what does that mean you think about Jimmy Page ???

  • RESPECT Jimmy is God

  • You gotta love how The Edge stands up as though he's hearing the National Anthem. And Jack's face is priceless admiration as well!

  • 1 Jack White + 1 Edge = 2 lucky motherfuckers

  • I AGREE!!!!!!!

  • @StupidChicagoPunk The looked like they were in a COMA

  • the kings riff

  • i can almost see Jack and the Edge dropping on their knees shouting 'WE'RE NOT WORTHY' XD

  • Jack White, major name in guitar playing? Producers should've picked EVH, Blackmore, Yngwie, Schenker, Gary & Vinny Moore, Brian May, George Lynch, Satch, Vai, Beck, Steve Howe, Morse, Gilbert, Friedman, Huff, Meniketti, Wylde, etc etc etc!

  • @Broughmo Dude, stop complainin and read CSchruppNMU's comment above..and btw, EVH's been dead a long time.. XD

  • If jimmy only knew how much he has inspired me and millions more to play music

  • Jimmy page isnt a musician, he is a GOD i cant imagine the world without he he is the best ive ever seen and listened

  • @lanothebest He's a great guitarist, no doubt :)

  • lol Jack and the Edge just reached heaven lol

  • Awwwww .. Jack looks like a kid in a candy store for the first time . Looks like he might pop :)

  • I'm sure it was like they went from sitting with this old white haired Englishman talking shop about how they became guitarists, to remembering the significance Led Zep held as soon as he played that. That song's older than Jack is.

  • @muziktrkr

And played on mainstream TV every week from 1964 to ?

  • My favorite moment in the movie, Jack looks like a little kid meeting Santa Claus, the REAL Santa Claus.

  • look them faces wowww

    that's sick

  • im have a orgasm after this .

  • It's like to two kids on Christmas morning, looking under the tree for the first time.

  • This is the moment Jack White and The Edge were hoping for. You can see it in there eyes. Jimmy delivers his legend to them.

  • @craigferrett , Well said!

  • @craigferrett - for sure...me too!

  • @craigferrett they look like kids opening their christmas gifts.

  • @mtsn

looks at their faces at 0:19

  • The edge can't sit down.

  • That's the way to play it. So....lets just say,... I can play like Bonham./// Anybody from RI that can play like the other guys from Zeppelin> ?? Put it up okay? I am ready to go! And James? I can be found easily,

  • look a tjack white and edge looking in amazement

  • I love how Jack and Edge become total fans the second Page starts playing. I wish the clip was longer, it's my favorite scene in the movie.

  • ohhhh that toneeeeee

  • goosebumps all over my body!!!

    epic scene

  • jacks face at the start just says it all ..

  • Look at their eyes when Jimmy Page starts to play Whole Lotta Love. The same eyes of a teenager when heard it from the first time, and dream of one day being such like him... Just Amazing!...

  • Jimmy Page is a pimp on guitar

  • This was a really magical part of the movie. The way the Edge and Jack White are watching him are like 2 kids in a candy shop. Really special moment.

  • Big deal...arggh!

  • WHy the fuck is Jack WHite considered a guitar genius?

  • @detoth67 Because he is...

  • @detoth67 because he actually is. Of course far from Jimmy Page, but he is great modern guitarist. He has style, sound and he is well-known.

  • he's rockfather )

  • y cry .....y cry

  • Page is the man!!!Love you forever!!!!

  • Page is a GOD!!

  • look at the eyes of those mortals

  • Ya'll talk about about Hendrix being the greatest guitar player, but the Idiot killed himself! Jimmy Page Rules!!

  • @themossbackman i agree that jimmy is amazing but you give jimi respect! lmfao!

  • look at the smiles of Jack and the edge

    awesome

  • @najibora i agree. at 30 seconds long, this is without a doubt the best and most dynamic part of the whole movie. both the edge and jack white (white who i consider a major player in the sustenance of rock and roll) are humbled to nothing but a smile when jimmy lays down that riff. must have been surreal.

  • jimmy page is one of my favorite guitarists, but why is the edge less talented than the other two? because you rarely hear a pentatonic minor scale or typical blues riffs in U2 music? just because edge doesn't play all the similar riffs and progressions and solos doesn't mean he doesn't know how. i've seen him play live enough to witness how good this guy truly is. and occasionally i'd see him lay down a really tasty blues lick, turnaround and everything.

  • Thank you!!! Finally, signs of intelligent life. Listen to Edge on "Love & Peace," or his solo on live versions of "Bullet The Blue Sky" and you can hear basic meat and potatoes blues/rock stuff. But that is not really the Edge's thing. As Jimmy says, he is more of a "sonic architect" interested in pursing a different course. In the process he created a wholly unique sound that has dominated rock for nearly 25 years. Jimmy is great, but Edge absolutely belongs up there too!

  • @juanypei it's actually more difficult to come up with a unique, passionate style, without using pentatonic retread riffs and licks. the edge has done something huge - he's wildly creative, and has been the driving force of a dominant band. it's not for nothing that he's here....

  • lol Their faces...

"Wow! He's really... Making a lot of mistakes..."

    : D Alas.

  • @michaelm2fscopm95 , I think the look on their faces, at least on Jack's, was the expression of being really happy that they are sitting here with a legend hearing him play a legendary song, and realizing that they too have succeeded because they are now making a movie with one of the greatest guitarists to ever cross this earth.

  • gosh, you can just tell they were trying not to smile so big. if i was in their situation, my face would have been broken and i would have needed reconstructive surgery.

  • I think Jack and the Edge just came in there pants. They look like kids at Christmas.

  • omg, Jimmy Page is a fucking Mozart. love it

  • Jack white kinda sucked in the movie

  • How?

  • Owned. lol

  • They just got ownd

  • haha i love how the edge gets up haha

  • This is the part in the film where Jimmy says "alright, time to school the shit outta these kids."

  • That riff is so sick!

  • I agree, check out videos of Jimmy when he was 14 years old and later when he was in the yardbirds. He,s a guitar GOD!!

  • Jack white and the Edge are in now way

the caliber of musician as Jimmy Page

Jimmy Page is a genius for sure!!!

Jack White and Edge give me a break..

    No comparison...

  • I agree that Jimmy Page is better but to say "Jack White give me a break" is silly, Jack White is definately the best young guitarist at the moment and there is comparison look up "The White Stripes - Cannon" Or "The White Stripes - The hardest button to button" and then come back to say that there isn't any comparison, Jack White is an extremely talented guitarist, stop being narrow minded and do research before making silly comments.

  • you sir are a fucking genius!! you comment is fucking god like, thank you, just thank you, finally someone that knows sense and will take jimmy of that pedestal, as good as he is, jack is awesome!!!!

  • That's The MASTER SCHOOLS IN BOYS!!

  • I LOVED this part. Jack and The Edge look like school kids watching Mr. Wizard.

  • @BrianMorrison71 ... or kids at Christmas. :)

  • The look on The Edge's and Jack White's faces = Priceless. Jimmy Page = Legend.

  • gives me chills

  • Jimmy Page = Legend

  • i cant help but laugh at Jack's and the Edge's face during it

  • i'm pretty sure production came to a screeching halt when he started playing

  • Love this bit, two extremely famous people and they react as excited as any of us Zeppelin fans would be!

  • Well, I've just got the DVD but I'm not a 'fan' of either of the bands; White Stripes, Led Zepplin, U2....but nevertheless, I loved it and I came away with a great appreciation of all three guitarists. This moment, when The Edge and JW are witnesses to Mr. Page ripping open one of THE classic riffs, is magic. Senior Page comes across as THE man. Awesome (as is the opening scene when JW builds a guitar).

  • Imagine Jimmy taking Frusciante spot? That'll put a spin on things. or Bucketheads?

  • @craigferrett So many people have suggested different guitarists for this film - Frusciante is an awesome idea. If you are suggesting Jimmy Page taking Frusciante's spot in the Peppers, I don't know if he is that type of rhytmic player. I am sure he COULD do it, but not sure he'd want to. If he did, it would be a return to "The Crunge" - "where's that confounded bridge?"

  • @mbcestmoi rhythmic

  • @craigferrett i love john frusciante, but the problem is, he wouldn't shut his mouth long enough for anybody to play guitar...

  • @craigferrett

I would give just about anything to see Pagey play with Flea. I'm just way too curious to resist what those sounds would taste like.

  • Great, now they should get Jeff Beck, Pagey, Ry Cooder and Pete Townshend into that studio. See how long Beck or Pete lasts before walking out.

  • Jack and The Edge look like they're in heaven. And they probably were during that short period of time.

  • I love their face when Jimmy's playing :D

  • Isn't that great - they're trying to be cool about it, but they can't help from smiling. :) Loved it!

  • Jack is decent but I wouldn't say he's one of the best blues guitarists, there is certainly far better blues players out there today.

  • @moreblack

hes not the BEST blues player but he certainly is the most innovative...

  • @deathletter69

that is hard to define, "most innovative blues player"...

  • The guy who calls himself "The Edge" doesn't deserve to be in the same room as Jimmy. He's just an effects user not a guitarist.

  • @wolfennyc Oh dear. Having a bout with PMT, are we?

  • @wolfennyc You're the asshole man. What's the matter with you shouting off like that at a perfectly reasonable comment?!

  • well i'm not saying that i'm a big fan of The Edge, but admit it - he can come up with some effects no one else would, and in most cases he can use those effects pretty damn well.

  • @SliekoKoja Well, each to his own but as a guitarist myself he is very mediocre, in my opinion. As he shows in this film he plays a mere 2-note riff (he says himself: "that's all it is") then smothers it in effects to give it some sonic appeal. He gets a different sound, for sure, but in terms of guitar-playing competence he is no Hendrix, Page, Beck, van Halen, etc. Take away the effects and there's not much remaining.

  • I think you've missed the point spectacularly. He uses the effects as part of the instrument to create the sound and feeling. The effects he uses are not just tagged on for effect; they form part of the instrument.

For example the wah guitar on the Shaft theme is one of the most iconic wah guitar parts in the world and has it's whole attidue and feeling dependant on the wah. If there was no wah used to such an extreme you may as well complain that that part is just some rhythmic strumming!

  • There's nothing "spectacular" in my point atall. And the effects he uses certainly are tagged on for effect. That's the whole point of them. Effects have their place. Everyone from Bon Jovi to Hendrix have used them, and yes, there are iconic songs that depend on them. But The Edge's problem is that he is fundamentally not a very proficient guitarist - he has virtually no lead competence - and the effects don't have a place in his repertoire because he uses them absolutely everywhere.

  • By your definition Page is relying on overdrive to attain sustain and volume that he otherwise would not be capable of producing. I see no problem with players using as many effects as they like; seeing as the electric guitar is an electronic instrument processing is going on at every stage to define how it sounds, as such there should be no limitations on the way it should be expected to sound. I like all three of these players, each one simply has a different approach.

  • @AndPlus One of the best performances I have ever seen was Gary Moore at the NEC in Birmingham and all he used was a Les Paul through a Marshall - no effects. As I said before, effects have their place and they do enhance the song when appropriate - Voodoo Chile is enhanced by the effects on it but Hendrix didn't ruin Hey Joe, Red House et al by always using effects. The Edge is lost without his effects and it's just too, too much. He's known for his effects, not his playing. Often less is more.

  • Well, I don't think anyone really thinks the The Edge is really comparable to Hendrix or Page. The point of the documentary was to have 3 guys from different eras of music, along with contrasting styles, get together and tell their story. It's more interesting that way. I think the way that he uses so many different effects makes him interesting and creative in his own way.

  • nicely put
