The album version uses "10 weeks pay" and "London Town". This being a live version, they might slip up on a word or two. Plus where they said Fredericton and said Miramichi the crowd reacted with cheers. Makes me think this version might have been a recording from a performance in New Brunswick. Like many bands, GBS will try to play up to a local audience.
i hav a question: is this the original version sped up or is the one i kno just slowed down a lot? i think the one i kno is just slowed down because in the one i kno some of the verses are a little different but i wasnt sure so i wnted to ask.
When they play this live, they usually add a piece for the town they're playing in. They used Charlottetown when I saw them in Charlottetown, after all. And I know for a fact that they don't use it usually in the song xD
@VenomousNewfie i think you're both right. it is "london-town" but i have the feeling they played this in fredricton and changed the lyrics to appease the crowd (note the wild screaming) :)
@Cprlbomb14 In this version he says Fredricton because I suppose they are there seeing as this is a live recording. The studio version lyric is London Town
@Cprlbomb14 In the album version it IS 10 weeks pay and London-town. The reason they say Fredricton is that happens to be where this live version was recorded. Otherwise, the rest of the lyrics "see the king in his golden crown" doesn't really make a whole lot of sense....
Woot New Brunswick! :D

It's Fredericton, not London-Town.
IBShawty 1 month ago
@IBShawty He only says Fredricton because that's where the show was, normally the lyric is London-town.
